Young men, fast cars - can you imagine the speeding fines?!? There’d be enough points to see us in the playoffs! I doff my cap to you

The team did in fact all turn up in separate cars a few seasons ago. At Luton for an evening match. They'd stopped at a hotel for the afternoon and the team bus broke down. Stu Sinclair was from the area and rustled up a variety of vehicles to get them to the game.

No doubt the car insurance industry pushing this and rubbing their hands with the thought of vastly increased insurance premiums. Will they be travelling for business or pleasure, what about individual increased mileage vehicle depreciation, 45p a mile to consider as well. PFA rep Rodman will be busy negotiating this one with the club, the individual players premiums could rocket, I don't think this one has been thought through properly. Safer to use a couple of busses and bite the financial bullet.

Initial thoughts is this is not a good idea for a number of reasons eg - how do you come off with potential breakdowns, players turning up at different times due to traffic/accidents (not theirs!) on the journey? Maybe we are going to buy them all Bentleys or Rollers to make the journey better? Although many years ago I do recall the Swansea team, when they were in the poop in the lower leagues, turning up in cars and not a coach and not being allowed in initially! Come on! Surely our players would turn up to the grounds in clapped out old Escorts ( and I don't mean the female type)

So, individuals arrive, and then all gather in the changing room?

Some clubs in the lower leagues are using a team bus for the starting 11 with the substitutes travelling in various cars with the management and coaching staff driving.

As LP Gas states the subs etc then join them in the changing rooms and also on the pitch if they are required. Plus 4 players in a small car must be worse than having them all sat on a large coach, or is it 2 per car/12 different cars required just for the players?

Rovers considering some players just drive away (and don’t come back) after the last two performances wouldn’t be harsh.
