According to Sam Frost he will be back in full training in 2 weeks time. Think he’s been a big miss and a decent keeper, can give the defence more confidence.

No to be an “I told you so” before saying something very much “I told you so”...
Remember we had a lot of injuries before, then we had few, now we have them again.
The gap seems to be a time when a certain manager played a squad system to the disdain of many fans who disliked it on the basis of “in my day players could play 4 matches a day and run a marathon in between!”
Something to be said for the squad game. Look how long Fergie got out of the class of 92 by resting them and only getting the big guns out for big games.
I do often wonder how players get so many injuries. When I was 25 I could play twice a week no issue, never an injury.
I think the modern game is a lot faster and more physical than it looks, with players right on the edge of what they can cope with.
As with Rugby, the increasing professionalism of the game is leading towards physical traits such as speed, strength and stamina being paramount.
When we played Sheffield United, the players in leagues above look like ours, but 20% stronger, faster and fitter.

They play TWICE A WEEK!!! They've hardly got it tough. Stop making excuses for the precious little didums. It's obvious why players pull out injured. It's because in a sh** team that's not winning, you get a slight knock and see it as an excuse to come out of the firing line for a bit. In a successful, winning team, people keep quiet about little knocks as they don't want to lose their places in the team

We've just given a pro deal to a 17 year old academy graduate called jedward.. Sums us up at the moment. Can't be any worse than the clown between the sticks at the moment. Makes you wonder why we bother keeping on alexis Andre Jr seeing as he's in his mid twenties now and nowhere near the 1st team. Waste of a wage if you ask me

It does seem extravagant for a L1 club to have a third choice goalkeeper in his mid-twenties on the payroll.

In a successful, winning team, people keep quiet about little knocks as they don't want to lose their places in the team There’s probably some truth in what you say that in a successful team players may play through little knocks but if you are trying to compare professional athletes with what grass roots football is like then there is a huge difference. I’m not making excuses for them, I’m saying that because of the intensity of games and the challenging training environments because of COVID with the lack of recovery time between games, that is why we are probably seeing more muscle injuries...

Players warming up and then standing around listening can cause muscles to cool down and tighten.
