Heard a rumour Coughlan is coming back Tongue in cheek or serious? I’d take him. Complete rubbish...... just thought I’d get in there first.

Wow what a mess, it was clear Tisdale couldn't get a tune out of this bunch. Well done to Wael for financially supporting this move. Now lets get a proven L1 manager and get out of this mess!! Name a proven manager who has done well for us? A player manager for me, I would give Rodman or Anssi the job.

This is getting to be a bit of a farce, now. I feel like a bit of a lady garden for being asked to back failing managers out of loyalty and support for the club, while those who appoint them just f**k them off at the first sign of trouble. If we get relegated, now, it won't be any managers fault, it will be the board's fault entirely.
In any case, is this any way to run any business, let alone a football club?

Feel sorry for Tisdale. At one point it looked like we were turning the corner. Don’t know what happened but I do know that a relatively small amount of players have played a hell of a lot of games in a small amount of time. There’s no let up in the fixtures and clearly we need a bounce from somewhere. Hold on to your seats, Gasheads! Yeah, I was actually quite confident for Saturday, now anything can happen.

Feel sorry for Tisdale actually, came across really well. I hope the Team look at each other and realise it was their crap performances that have cost him his job.
Next.

I think maybe their poor results had more to do with it. Although GC want sacked, he just left. I would say that PT has paid the price for a poor transfer window. You say poor but he only bought in 2 players. Was that his choice or alck of funds or what? I've been disappointed with Day. Williams has been OK. One thing the current owners have always done is back their managers. I think PT failed to persuade any decent forwards to sign, and that's a failing for a manager, not Wael.

It’s more like when you prove you’re a sh** manager you’re a goner. I applaud the ruthlessness but who are we going to get in now? What happens to the Rovers DNA? Widdrington said last time he didn’t want the job. We’ve got no time to make a considered appointment. Such a mess. Really? DC spoke out... Gone Coughlan spoke out.... Gone Tisdale spoke out... Gone Wael wants a yes man and I think that's part of the problem. Garner didn't speak out and proved he was sh**.. Gone. I don’t think it quite worked out like that- Garner didn’t speak out he was just sh**, Tisdale worse record than a Garner, neither of those two can be surprised they got sacked in a results business. I’ll wager neither will get managerial gigs in the football league again. Coughlan didn’t speak out that I can remember, there were rumours. He was tapped up by Mansfield ultimately and arguably left of his own accord so that for me undermines the idea that outspoken managers get the boot. I do think that the board aren’t fans of outspoken people. The club has lacked a real leader both on the pitch and in the dig out since Garner came in and I would argue that that is somewhat by design and is part of our problems.

The Board fund the squad the Manager wants. Can't see our League position has anything to do with the Board.

Surely the question is "Who would want to come here?" Would have thought that cuts down the candidate list by a fair chunk.

Should the forum be given the decision to choose the new manager. After all we think we know best.

I propose Gaschat are appointed joint managers until the end of the season, as everyone on here thinks they could do a better job.
We can have a poll to decide the best 11, and another at half time to decide who should be subbed.

In any case they appoint the managers. They also, I'm sure, have a big say in the players we bring in, especially with TW now on the board.

Its simple, you do not bite the hand that feeds you. In any line of work, if you speak out against your peers whilst doing a bad job your a goner. Got no time for slagging off the board when it involves a owner who is brilliant. People must learn to separate the financial side of the ownership and the football side of the ownership. He and his boards football decisions have been utterly dire. Its like buying expensive vodka only to mix it with value cola....

The money we must be using to pay off sacked managers would have bought us a half decent striker.

I was more surprised to read Tisdale was sacked just now than I was to hear that Garner was sacked when he was and I think we can all agree that came out of the blue a bit. I thought he would be given the Swindon game to show the board he was capable of turning things around.
I do feel sorry for Tisdale, he inherited a rubbish group of players, tactically tried a lot of ways to get something out of them, for a month it seemed like it was working and then form dramatically fell off a cliff over the last 10 games or so. Some of his substitutions and starting lineups were a bit dodgy and he came across as a bit arrogant in interviews but on the whole I thought he made far fewer mistakes than Garner and was afforded far less time to do his job.
We are an absolute shambles at the moment, to the extent where I think it is going to take more than a fresh face in the dugout to turn things around.
