Inevitably will be TW till the end of the season See I don’t think so. The press released suggested he’d be in charge temporarily until a new manager is appointed. Can’t imagine he’d want it either. Nor Hargreaves. Nor Mansell. Not everyone wants to be manager. I just think it’s crazy that we’re paying for more managers than we have senior strikers in the squad (if you can even count Hanlan as senior). We could potentially end the season with twice as many managers on the books at strikers 😂

Flynn would be good but won’t come unless it’s next season and we’re still in league one and Newport are still in league 2, He’s done a great job there on a low budget.

I’m really struggling to think of someone who might be available who I actually would want at the club!? There’s no one coming to mind - Cook, Cowley etc good managers but I don’t think would fit us

I think, unfortunately, any decent manager would probably want to wait until the summer to take over.
Heart is saying please Wael get DC back.
Head is saying Coleman, Flynn or someone else proven.
Reality is Tommy Widdrington.

Think I’d go for someone like Gary Monk. I suggested him last time Jock. Not sure anyone would succeed with this squad though. Absolutely not. Hasn't done anything since Swansea and one season at Leeds. Gets found out after a few months

Holloway for me, until the end of the season! We need someone in charge, who actually gives a sh** about the club! We’re currently in free fall, but Widdrington needs to answer, why he and the board allowed us to start a season, with 3 strikers, two of them never playing a league game. Dam shambles

Has to be someone with a track record of turning a team around. In hindsight the garner and tisdale appointments were epic mistakes, the board need to think the next one through.
The problem seems to be at the top.

Jody Morris? Highly though of. Was assistant to Lampard at Chelsea. Has been a coach at youth level for Chelsea and also with Lampard at Derby. Obviously Wael has his Chelsea connections. I would suspect he's holding out to follow Lampard but could be a possibility?

For those suggesting Holloway, can I ask why? Other than his personal connections to the club, is there any other reason to consider him, given that he left Grimsby wallowing near the bottom of league 2, do you actually think he has it in him to keep us up?

The problem seems to be at the top. Its a hit or miss process with managers. We have now tried a total rookie, and someone with experience and success in the league below....and they both failed massively!

We've already had 3 managers if you include Widdrington, can't see them giving anyone else the job? I'm not entirely convinced anyone would be mad enough to take it unless they were desperate. Those asking for the likes of Holloway and other outspoken managers may be very disappointed, they want a coach type manager, someone who has the players bought for him and his job is to mould them into a team. Better managers want more control of what goes on. We will get another yes man I expect.

I can't understand why anyone would want an internal appointment. This is our last throw of the dice so I'd want somebody that has had some recent success as a manager. I'm not sure if any are realistic but: Matt Taylor (Exeter) Michael Flynn (Newport) Michael Duff (Cheltenham) Mark Cooper (Forest Green) John Coleman (Accrington) Paul Cook Danny Cowley
I wouldn't want Holloway after he failed so badly at Grimsby.
