We, like many others booked accommodation for this game. Always love Blackpool away. Just seeing if people will still go if they open up hospitality by then but not the football stadiums?
We’re still planning to make the trip regardless of being able to watch footy or not (obviously if we’re allowed).
Hopefully see you all there 🤞

Blackpool is closed for everyone who doesn’t live in area. All amusements, pubs, hotels and boarding house are shut. Be very daft to try and book anything.

Quite honestly, last time I went to Blackpool, I found it a very dirty place. I think it has lost its appeal to those south of Manchester. The places needs millions and millions spent on it to made a attractive. I for one, won’t be going to spend a week end there.

Enough restrictions may be lifted by then for you to enjoy your weekend there (with probably some limitations) but I doubt too many gasheads will be there as can’t imagine anyone booking now and a lot of those who had booked will probably have cancelled. Enjoy if you can go - nothing like a weekend by the sea and such a shame that a year we get Blackpool away last game is one where we can’t attend!

Go for the football yes but make a weekend of it? No thanks. A Fool bouncer wouldn’t let me in to one of the pubs last year as I wasn’t wearing white Nike air Max and I had all my teeth. What the hell!!

What has 120 legs and 17 teeth?
The queue outside Asda in Blackpool.

Quite honestly, last time I went to Blackpool, I found it a very dirty place. I hope so! Especially in the Manc Hotel..... One of my great regrets is trusting my mates when they said “let’s go to McDonald’s, there won’t be much happening in there at this time” at 11am on the day of the game back in ‘99. I’ve also gone into Wycombe’s Adams park supporter’s bar for a drink instead of a certain local establishment. Basically I always seem to end up where the action isn’t so if you see me at an away game you’re in the wrong place!

Its a shame what's happened to a lot of the old seaside towns.... There are still nice ones, mainly in southern England financed by luxury care homes and coach parties.... But the last 60 years or so hasn't been quite so kind to many....

But the last 60 years or so hasn't been quite so kind to many.... The Blackpool area has been left to go to the dogs. Iirc it’s the most deprived part of the U.K. It was a bit depressing watching that recent BBC documentary on Redcar where as soon as the kids all get through school the ones with any prospects leave for the big cities while the ones who don’t are left to scrap for what minimum wage jobs there are. Such is life in a northern sea side town.
