Its a shame what's happened to a lot of the old seaside towns.... There are still nice ones, mainly in southern England financed by luxury care homes and coach parties.... But the last 60 years or so hasn't been quite so kind to many.... The Blackpool area has been left to go to the dogs. Iirc it’s the most deprived part of the U.K. It was a bit depressing watching that recent BBC documentary on Redcar where as soon as the kids all get through school the ones with any prospects leave for the big cities while the ones who don’t are left to scrap for what minimum wage jobs there are. Such is life in a northern sea side town. Blackpool was a bit of a dive even back in 1990, dogs were already there imo
