With Rodman I always think he may not make our “strongest” team but when you see him at his best you realise what a truly good player he is. Always has that control and extra split second to make a good pass. He reads the game so well and uses the ball so intelligently. He was a class act yesterday. UTG!

It will make for a really interesting summer window this... Leahy and Rodman getting lots of praise in recent weeks both contracts up in the summer... thoughts on extending?

The thing which still worries me despite the improvement, is that we do easily lose our shape after most substitutions, and opposition teams have got wise to this, and exploit it.

I'd say Leahy has definitely earnt a new contract. Rodman I think should be offered a short term deal. Not sure I'd like to see too many leaving in the summer (a few loan outs to Xmas for sure), if we can add a couple of improvements. CB is the interesting one for me as probably been the weak link all season but imagine all are under contract. Plus 2 more to come back from loans

I am also really impressed with the way rodman speaks off the pitch. He comes across extremely knowledgeable and I’d like to keep him at the gas when his playing days are over to eventually take the reigns as manager. ( obviously once king joey decides to return back north. )

Completely disagree personally.
In that 5 mind alone I saw the same thing happen several times as has been happening all season. Namely our CBs getting stuck under the ball and allowing attackers a march on the ball.
The attack that led to Day coming off injured happened because Kilgour was caught ball watching and his man was able to head a dangerous ball across the 6 yard box that probably should have led to their equaliser.
if you watch that attack you will notice AG wandering out of the box completely out of sync with the rest of his backline, the ball is then pumped back into the box, it goes over AG's head (because he is now in no mans land) and their attacker has a free header that he actually should have done more with.
Sorry to be Mr. Negative, but if we do not tighten up back their very soon, better teams will continue to score very easy goals past us.

The team was excellent for 92 minutes, and then completely lost their heads after the lapse in concentration led to Shrews scoring their goal. It's been the story of our season, defending OK for the most part, but it goes out of the window in a crazy brief spell or two during almost every game. I'm hopeful that with JB and Clint Hill's help, they'll be able to keep their shape and concentration from the first whistle to the last, as that will be essential to us staying up.

Yeah we nearly threw it away, but I have faith that the Barton Hill combo can sort this out. Like people have said the 91 mins before all that was unreal and unthinkable from our team from what we have seen this season. Joey talked about locking out teams and it looks like we have discovered how to do this midfield malarky which then squeezes / limits the entries or at least quality of the entries our opponents have in our final third. More time on the training ground will sort out this wobbly back line (set pieces and long balls) i'm sure of it.
Impressed I have been with Harries... that left peg clearance/key long pass looked great on Saturday so you gotta wonder who our best 2/3 CB's would be when fit. I think I noticed that Williams was playing right CB and looked great in controlling and then setting off the attack for our first goal.
I posed the question about Rodman and Leahy as one is now 34 and the other has probably had their best season for a long time (with 16 games to go) Leahy is LWB/LB with competition from Tutonda/Koiki/Kelly (out of contract summer) and Ryan Jones from Weston Super Mare. Given that he is playing so well he might well get 'a better offer' from another league 1 club in the summer as apposed to us just thinking 'oh yeah give him another year'... thoughts?

Good point. He has definitely put himself in the shop window as captain, LWB and goalscorer. If he gets a good offer, I'd wish him well but hope he stays. Looks like being a captain has improved him (not always the case!)
