Read that some pub beer gardens have sold out of weekend bookings already until end of May.
If Geoff D was around you can bet he would try and get something organised so the club got some income. (Beer garden in the car park etc).
Does anyone know if the club are planning anything?
During a brief opening of lockdown 1, City had a non matchday pitch side dinner experience and booked tables with meals in their bars for City and rugby away games with the matches on the big screens.
If the Euros go ahead are we not going to show England matches again? (Remember the World Cup? - we couldn't be bothered citing, the clubhouse is going to be refurbished - yeah 3 weeks after the tournament ended! and City featured on Match of the Day and the news showing mass celebrations! I heard they made around £40,000. Still at least we didn't pay a penny in staff costs.
Then they realized that was a mistake and had about 7 staff for 12 customers for the (no one interested) Nations League game v Portugal.

Beer garden in the car park at the Mem.... That would be the difinitive beer car park.... I can't see that happening....
Joking aside, reopening bars is only worth it when regular / reliable income is back, so next august for us I would think....
