I think we can all agree we are going down, we are an absolute shambles on the pitch, we have a spineless group in whole.
The club now needs to prepare for league 2, I wouldn't be against Joey Barton not featuring many of them and picking the players who he thinks has a future with him and try new players.
Wael unfortunately for him is going to have cough up more money if he wants us to have a chance to bounce back from this instantly. No serious backing and we will stagnate in league 2.

What’s happened to Hargreaves? Presumably injured?

It’s a shame I was looking forward to the Cheltenham, FGR and maybe Newport derbies next season. Looks we’ll miss them on the way down

This team are far too weak to compete in league 2, or the Conference, maybe Conference South though

This team are far too weak to compete in league 2, or the Conference, maybe Conference South though But it won't be this team next season. Whichever division Bristol Rovers are in next season it will be a very different squad wearing the blue and white quarters. The most important thing is that Joey Barton is in charge come August. With him at the helm 2021-22 will be a lot more enjoyable than the current unpleasantness.

I understand you are trying to be positive but if we lose Nichs Annsi MC Leahy etc. How on a much reduced budget will it get better ?. We will lose a lot of grants income and sales . Let's be a bit realistic and look at teams like Bradford Grimsby Southend Notts c .

How are you going to get rid of players that are still contracted next season who no other club will want ? Also Mcormack one of the better players will be off. What decent players are going to want to come to a 4th division club with a sh** ground ? And i expect the budget will be drastically reduced which may have a bearing on whether JB will stay. This club could now stagnate for years.

Your making an assumption Russ the owner wants to continue steam rolling a club losing 4 million a year . Maybe he recommends it will be more manageable to play at lower levels to pay out lower costs. The risks of spending yet more money to get promoted to a division which seems to rook us could be the final nail. A lot of teams balance the books in the national leauge to starve off high wages.

Hopefully they'll have big wage reductions built into their contracts in order to encourage them to move on.

If we do go down, we need to remember where it went wrong in 2011/12, pulling out the chequebook for experienced journeymen looking for a last payday whilst we get billed as favourites to go up.
Last two times we’ve dropped into that division, it’s taken us 5 or 6 years to get out of it again. If it does happen need to be grounded, respect the opposition and go in with a clear plan of getting out again as quickly as possible.

Perhaps for the first time in 3 or 4 seasons we might actually win more games than we lose at the Mem!

With so many of this squad likely to still be on the payroll next year, I fear the worst.

The players I would like to see represent us in league two next year are:
Jaakola Nicholson
The rest of them I would happily see the back of. Even Kilgour has looked miles off what I thought he could be. Ayunga might be alright in a couple of years but he is so raw. His decision making isn’t good enough.
