Tisdale came here at the end of November, with the Jan transfer window looming and pretty obvious to anyone who watched a few of our games where the problems lie.
You would have thought he would have discussed this with Weal, Starnes and Widdrington before signing on the dotted line. Unless he was lied to?

I don't blame TW for the players signed as imo thats up the the manager to decide which one he picks from a list he is given. However I do blame TW for the imbalance issues we have in the squad especially around the 1000 defensive players we have and 3 strikers. That's why personally I would have liked to have seen TW in temporary charge for a bit longer before we appointed our 3rd permanent manager this season. I would've liked to see him back up his stance that the players were more than good enough for L1. As the main man involved in recruiting said players he would presumably have a good connection with them individually. To me the fact that 3 permanent managers have had a go at getting a tune out of them and failed is sufficient evidence that the squad is simply not good enough collectively albeit individually many of them are indeed talented. I really hate the way this has turned out and the wastage involved with what seems to be a complete changing of the guard (players, coaches, possibly another manager and who knows else) on the way in the summer. I just want my old Rovers back, typically a team built on hard work, grit and determination with a die hard attitude that win lose or draw would make me feel proud of them. Perhaps covid hasn't helped but I just don't feel a connection with any of the players we have on the field at the moment.☹️

The blame surely lies with whoever thought a under 23s coach, without any real managerial experience, could step into BRFC and succeed ?, IMO a ridiculous decision, come on how many of us said Ben who ?, nice fella, but not up to it, letting Tony Craig leave, going into a new season with not one proven goal scorer, doh; having had the chance to listen to, and see Joey and his team in action, I have to say, I wish him well and hope he stays and is in charge at the beginning of next season.

Will Joey Barton be the Rovers manager for long if his young family remain in Liverpool? I wouldn't think he would put up with rarely seeing his family. Surely Joey must have discussed the situation? Might do the same as Graham Goughlan!

Might do the same as Graham Goughlan! my thoughts as well. If we stay in div 1 then maybe But relegation gives him a option of several clubs nearer home in div 2

Joey is now the 3rd manager that can't get a tune out of these players. None of these players are his. The officiating since Barton has took over has been awful. We lack leadership and a proven goalscorer. The bloke can only work with what he has. We as fans and the board need to back him fully whether we are in L1 or L2 next season. I agree pal, but I must add let’s not demonise these players either. Th way th group of them was assembled was under someone else’s plan/dream, it hasn’t worked , but they also need our backing, an more than ever. Many tonite seem ta be relishing slagging off our players an suggesting they are released ASAP, but th transfer window is shut and Joey has th cards he’s been dealt, an th players are what we have. Our job as supporters is to back JB an these lads to th bitter end, a lot of ‘shoot from th hip’ posts tonite think we’re already down - we are not! There’s 46 games in a season an whether some folk like it or not we are still massively in th battle. We can still do this , an I personally think we will. 👍 There is still a 5th of the season to play for. Perhaps now that we are in the relegation zone it will wake the players up, perhaps they’ve been subconsciously thinking they’re too good to go down. If we get relegated then so be it but I want to see our players giving it everything and attacking the 50/50s. If they’d done that Tuesday we wouldn’t have conceded , one striker who attacked the ball whilst 6 Rovers players watched . Unforgivable.

Saw lots in recent weeks saying "we arent in the relegation places" even though it was blatantly obvious thats where we were heading. Not that us fans can do much about it.

That was clearly Wael's decision, I do wonder if TW told Wael that Garner had got it all wrong last summer but he refused to listen to him, hence why he was promoted when Garner was finally dismissed. We know now not only did Garner take a top 6 chasing side and turn it into one with relegation form, he then built a squad who look odds on to get relegated. That's some feat but we'll still have the usual suspects on here saying it's not Garner's fault.
