We’re down IMO - I’ve accepted it & made my peace with it.
We deserve it. I just hope we learn from it!

It not really the losses but the manner of the losses that kills my spirit. When that goal was disallowed last night you just knew they were going to undeservedly take all 3 points. It was obvious because that is the story of our season.
I have but one hope left...
That Anssi comes back, has some sort of magical influence on the team and our strikers finally hit form at the right time!

Any Gashead still clinging onto any kind of hope, will have it torn from within them this coming Saturday. Rampant Sunderland will score at least four goals without reply. Charlie Wyke must be setting aside a space on his mantlepiece for the golden boot which will surely be boosted on Saturday? Yeh Charlie Wyke mind, that man was absolutely vilified by the Sunderland fans before this season. The reintroduction of Mcgeady has been absolutely crucial in their turnaround though,Wyke would have scored f**k all without him.

Yeah I saw them slagging him off around the time we played them at home last season. Still manages to always score against us whatever form he is in.

Was hoping to see Anssi get a run out in the development squad yesterday but still no sign of a return. Perhaps he's decided not point in rushing back this season?

Normally I would have some hope with nine games to go, but the fixtures look horrific. We've had plenty of important six-pointer opportunities against our rivals and blown pretty much every one. I am at a loss to see how Barton is going to fire up the squad, especially as he's now criticising them individually and as a group. Tisdale was virtually lynched and chased out of town for less. Agree, the results against the others at the bottom since JB came in has killed us. If we had won the four games against Wigan, Burton, AFC Wimbledon and Swindle the table would now look like this (if's & buts I know) and we would be 11 points clear Bristol Rovers 37 45 Burton Albion 36 38 Northampton 37 36 Swindon Town 37 34 AFC Wimbledon 35 32 Rochdale 36 32 Wigan Athletic 36 31

Agree, their whole turn around has been forget the fancy stuff, get the crosses in and we have the players to score. If we are to have any chance at all we can't do our usual thing of standing off their players and letting them get balls in the box

Morning everyone. Nope, don't want to talk about lasts horror show, there's plenty of threads to crucify everyone and anyone already. So, much though we're all pretty gutted at the performances we're paying to watch, it's not actually over. Yet. Still got 9 games to do something. 9 games. Who knows? Anything can happen. We are Rovers after all. If you listen to the manager then it’s over. I’m stunned by his public outburst, another thing that should have been dealt with in private iMO

I’m stunned by his public outburst, another thing that should have been dealt with in private iMO Absolutely I don’t get posters on here saying it’s justified because it needs saying We all know the issues, but it’s Barton’s job to rally his troops and give them hope that they can avoid the drop If he’s given up he needs to leave his position, in my mind he won’t be here start of next season. Publicly slating the club and individuals is poor form, leave that til the end of game 46. What an absolute mess this great club is in and now we as fans find ourselves embroiled in the turmoil instead of coming together. The cancer will not be cured in this manner, Barton needs to learn when it’s the appropriate time to open his mouth.

Another game gone and the task looks even tougher. Jaakkola being back is a big plus but probably too late and we still need to create/score.

In response to the original post. It is now. We're only 1 win away from safety, I can't understand why Barton appears to have thrown in the towel and seems to be already planning for next season. I wonder if we'd swallowed our pride and reappointed GC instead of Tisdale, we'd would have been relegated without even putting up a fight. It does make you question whether it's worth while getting a season ticket next season the way Wael's running the club as the blame for our demise since GC left, even his leaving, has to rest at his door.
