For me we need to go 4-4-2 keep it simple stupid as well. f**k fancy formations. Straight up and down and I say that as someone who doesnt have a problem with playing different ways. And we can do it with the injuries we have. Cutting out sloppy marking on the other hand will he hard as we have been sh** all season Anssi Williams Kilgour Baldwin Leahy Rodman/Mccormick (fitness dependent on Rodman) Grant Mccormick/pick an option if Mccormick has to play on the right Walker Any two out of Ayunga/Daly/Hanlan Agree about 442. With 352 we lack width and get outnumbered so easily out wide. It worked under Coughlan because we had JCH but without that big experienced target man we’re predictable and not good enough. If we’d played 4-4-2 all season with the likes of rodman , Nicholson Tutonda and Hanlan as wingers we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in now that I’m confident of.

We would need to turn our form over the last 16 months on its head. I think it would be the greatest ‘great escape’ story in the football league for a long time. Unfortunately, we don’t have the quality in the squad to do it. That’s been proven throughout the season. Sounds like it would be ground breaking. If ever we needed a ground breaking set of results, now is the time. I think your bus might as well be declared Sorn mate I don’t think this squad is capable of fighting enough when the chips are down to get out of the bottom four now. Don’t get me wrong I’ll keep watching until the end of the season and if the ground was open I’d be on the terraces supporting but I don’t feel our players have got the kind of fight and determination our supporters have.

Won't have to worry about social distancing at Memorial Ground next season with a crowd of about three thousand!

Won't have to worry about social distancing at Memorial Ground next season with a crowd of about three thousand! We'll have more than that with season ticket holders. Regardless of what division we are in.

I am actually getting more optimistic as the week rolls on. Yes the form is bad. The results and points per game have been poor under Joey... but we have been in every game we have played. we could have scored a number of goals in most of the matches and have often, nay very often had mistakes or lapses of concentration in our defensive third that have meant we took nothing or very little from the game. It could be a lot worse... we could be creating nothing and look horrible and clueless. It's been fine margins really for the most part.
The optimism stems from the fact that if we can turn the tide (to quote JB) then there is hope. Yes we have played 36 games and hoped that the tide would turn but there is hope. We haven't got worse, we are still in this fight. You have to believe right? If not, then where is the magic of the game!
Up the gas! Cmon Rovers! Goodnight Irene!!!
