It seems to me our only hope of getting out of this mess is to Target to get above Northampton in the next two games and the only way to do that is to make sure we beat Doncaster on Monday. We are desperate now to get that win after five straight defeats.Staying up this season looks very unlikely at the moment but I would say lose Monday and its curtains. Win Monday and with Northampton at Hull we could go into Saturday 2 points behind them. I fear Rochdale could well beat Ipswich at home on Monday going by Ipswichs performance yesterday and fancy Wimbledon to beat Fleetwood at home which would see us bottom if we lose on Monday. I would really like JB to forget what happened yesterday and put out an attacking side on Monday. I would go for
Annsi
Williams Martinez Baldwin Leahy
Hanlon McCormick Barratt
Oztumer
Daly Ayunga
I would like to see us really pressurizing the Doncaster defence with Ayunga Daly and Oztumer stopping them from playing out. Some will say this is too attacking a line up but we have gone with the defensive line up and what use has that done us? We really are at the stage where draws are no longer any use to us whatsoever.

I tend to think our fans have more optimism than barton, who seemingly thinks our cause is a lost one as do I. We are a league 2 club in stature and will soon be literally. No point chopping and changing everything in the hope something might work. Id start preparing for next season, chop out the dead wood and work with the players you want to keep in your system. Play the games and get some much needed experience and quality in asap for the league 2 assault! UTG

It's bollocks. Forget it. We're not targeting anything. Didn't you hear that dickhead Barton's post match interview yesterday? Taking them out in the street and shooting them. He's absolved himself of any involvement in this season. Joey has his flip flops on and is on the beach already. He clearly has no interest in motivating the squad to stay up. He's decided he'll be the hero next season instead.
Bottom is where we will finish thanks to r Joey who has played prem football so must be worth having.

Wont donny just do what they always do, pass us to death and make us look crap, that defence above would be leaky as hell. Youd attack them with the above and be caught on the break constantly! Would be a cricket score. Sod their form, look at ours.

Imo writing them off is the only thing left to try as its the only time they seem to try.

Must admit I’ve been really disappointed with his attitude At first he was upbeat, positive, looking like he could install some confidence into a squad with undoubted potential Now it’s all doom and gloom, blaming everyone and literally telling all and sundry that the players are crap and we deserve to go down! I don’t get it? I want my boss to be doing all he can to inspire, even if he knows deep down it might not be enough The time for reflection is at the end of the campaign. Say and do what you like then. Come on Joey! If you are stupid enough to read this forum STOP FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF AND STOP THIS ROT! Imagine you are a player right now? What is going to inspire you? Certainly not you throwing your toys out and giving up! We all had you down as a winner. Pull yourself together you pair of curtains.

Still banging on about conspiracies in refereeing decisions as well Who had him down as a winner though? Plenty of evidence in his career that when things dont go right Joey diesnt deal with it well If he wasnt our manager, many that are backing him would be calling him a crank as much as those of us that never reall wanted him

Things to consider. Unfortunately Oztumer just isnt the answer ,for what ever reason the games pass him by in any midfield role. The strikers seem unable to score goals.
The goals are coming (rarely) from mostly the midfield players.
So many players are injured there is limited scope for change.
Solutions. I can only suggest playing more midfielders and less strikers ! One random selection...
Barrett Daly McCormick westbrooke Tutonda martinez upson Leahy baldwin williams Jaakola

We need to create a lot of chances because we don't take very many.Doncaster are not the team they were last season and we are more likely to beat them by closing them down quickly.

Not finishing bottom might be the most realistic target we can hope for.

Win monday and everything can change. If Northampton lose at Hull we could be just two points behind and then its in our hands to beat them saturday or at the very least not lose because after us Northampton have Peterborough Away,Ipswich Home,Blackpool Home and finish with Sunderland Away. We are now at the point where every game is a Cup final.

That’s what a top manager does. Listening to the suffolk commentary mick mills and the host seemed to think rovers showed more belief than ipswich did. That at 2-1 they were saying rovers looked the most likely to get an equaliser and even a winner. Other interesting comments. Paul cook saying it should have been a red for the keeper. Marcus stewart before the match commenting how it was important for both clubs to win but Rovers just cant score no matter how well they play between the boxes. 2-0 or 2-1 to ipswich his prediction for the game.

Agree with your selection, bored of watching Hanlan falling over get him off, and have wanted Oztumer to start for the last couple of weeks, its so predictable ever week he comes on at 75 minutes.

Id rather see Tom Mehew given a chance in from the cold.
