Problem is, with delays and appeals etc. we (and other clubs) could find ourselves in a situation where we’re not sure what league we’re playing in next season

We don't want to rely on that....need to make sure we do it the right way and get enough points on the board to keep us up!

Should be fined for too many inbreds and roundabouts

I’d rather they get deducted points now and boost our survival chances to be honest. Think you miss the point. If they do stay up naturally the points deduction would then kick in and they would be relegated anyway just like Wigan last season Whilst we would all rather get ourselves to safety without the help of the FA, if they are found guilty then either way they are going down. We just need to hope this is concluded as soon as possible. If they are guilty then that's one less relegation place for us to worry about.

Looking on their forum, they think they will get a points deduction

Since the late 80’s Swindon have been a rogue club and I couldn’t give a flying toss about them. Now Bury got thrown out of the league for not having fit and proper ownership along with consistent financial irregularities. Surely there’s no difference here. There’s only so many times that they can take the pi55.

Most techy young uns would probably at this stage upload a GIF of someone like DiCaprio raising a glass or Barrack Obama nodding. I am not young or techy so shall simply say... I hope they throw the book at the cheating, inbred, dizzy Fools. Thats what you get for making me urinate in that vile away end toilet of yours. Gasshole i am sorry for slashing on your Addidas gazelles circa 2006.

So we need Swindon to beat Rochdale (a), Wimbledon (a), and Wigan (a) in their run in and then be deducted points at the end of the season (to be applied this season) in order to maximise our chances. Obviously we'd still need to pick up a few points in our run in too..

This is a bad omen. These FA inquiries are one of the four horsemen of our relegation apocalypses - think Wycombe 2014.

Can`t see that happening. They`ve already been in more trouble than John McVicar. If this is true, it`ll be a fair amount of points for sure.

Perhaps Rovers, Northampton, Wigan, Wimbledon & Rochdale fans could set up a joint petition demanding justice.

We need to win on Saturday, a must. I think from then on it is a hard run in. Swindon might be deducted points as from next season, who knows, but if we can just keep winning then we dont need anything else

Best scenario: Us and Swindon finish 19th and 20th respectively, then they get walloped with a points deduction. Their joy will turn to tears, lovely. Maybe one point deducted for each digit on their hands, so 12.

I can't see why it shouldn't be a points deduction.
Whether or not it would come into effect this season or next I have no idea.
