Spend £150k on two rookie strikers and a 4th at Gills and you get what you deserve. We suffer as fans long term but the policy makers move on and start again. Garner and co loved the attention and egoism playing a system with no strikers . They start again : we go back 5_10 years. Wael should of put his foot down a year ago. relegation will certainly put to bed any thoughts of a new stadium That thread may be unlocked in 5 years time for a look at what may have been. Suicide by the club last December to go down the route of a comic managing this club What gets me angry is I believed 5 years for the first time in 40 years. Even more we kept telling the club to get strikers. How can we go from decent strikers in the vanarama to this ? I really think our club was used as a trial by some policy makers for their own ego. Even more frustrating it was totally self inflicted. We allowed a good budget to be blown on players who would never play because too many players were fighting for similar spots . As Ian Jury said " What a waste ".

Poor old Sunderland!
They obviously didn’t look too closely at squeaky and his liability in poor runs when the pressure is on!
I would imagine their forum is more depressing than ours tonight!

I spent ten english watching us have a million shots at the DW, 64% possession or something. There was absolutely no way anyone could’ve convinced me at that point that they would finish above us.

And Lincoln scored two late goals to draw with the Seasiders on Saturday and now winning at home to a decent MK team.

Another daunting point is we are now closer to 24th place then 20th place with only 5 games to go

It really couldn’t have gone any worse for us! Maybe, trying to look on the bright side, it will make Barton really go for it now. No point in fannying around anymore All out attack, play 3-4-3 Ansii Williams Kilgour Harries Hare McCormick Martinez Leahy Walker Ayunga Hanlan Desperate times for desperate measures. Did you think we have been trying not to win? We have not won games because the players are not good enough how ever hard they try.

AFC Wimbledon 3-0 Ipswich Not going to catch Wimbledon now. Still a chance of catching Wigan, just unlikely but also we have to hope we better the other teams results around us too 😔

We have been playing with one up top Let’s whack them all on Maybe even try Daly over Ayunga Last rolls of the dice. We aren’t very good but I’d like to see us go down having a go! UTG

We have 5 tough games with Saturday being by far the toughest of the three home games and add to that we are very unlikely to get anything at either Portsmouth or Blackpool. Sad times

2 points out of 15 against the teams around us has f**ked us This is the kicker. If we’d lost to donny and Accrington but beaten Northampton and Wigan and drawn with Swindon it would be a totally different table for us.
