It's rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic isn't it?
We've played a lot of different formations with a lot of different team selections this season but the results have been consistently crap barring one or two fluke games here or there.
I'm finding it very difficult to come up with a line up I'd be happy with next season based on our current squad.
The sad thing is that we are probably going to lose the players we would want to keep the most (Leahy, Rodman, Jaak, Nicholson) and be stuck with BG's signings from last summer.

Agree.
Of the senior players, only really interested in keeping Annsi, Leahy and Nicholson. McC on loan currently is way better than L2. He will be off, probably to a Championship club. The rest can go.
I'd probably gamble on two of the three existing "strikers". A year's extra experience and poorer opposition defenders could be the making of them. They would need to be augmented by the signing of two senior strikers.

I'd line some of them up in front of a firing squad. Don t give the guns to our strikers Tilly ππππ΄ββ οΈππ΄ββ οΈπ

Best case scenario for me, without completely gutting the core squad:
,............Jaakola...........
New RB..Kilgour..Harries..Leahy
..,..,......Grant..New CM.........
New RW... Westbrooke...Nicholson
.....New ST.....

I think you are not far off I could see Walker in the line up and Martinez For me Iβd like a commanding captain centre back and 2 new strikers A front 4 of Hanlan/Walker-Westbrook-Nicholson New Striker Would be pretty useful. But yes, work on the defence a priority with a goalscorer How hard can it be?

When we go down itβll be interesting to see who wants to stay and lead the fight back next season. Any player who gets the chance to bail out and stay at league one level wonβt be able to pack their bags fast enough is my opinion.

I think if we get about 6 new players and release the ones out of contract then we could have a good side. Most players are ok but need a new spine to the team . New being the operative word. A spine consisting of Kilgour,Grant and Hanlan, fills me with fear.

I think following this season a lot of clubs will be cutting down on the number of players they have. Non league clubs will be running at basic levels too. The trick is to know who you want now, not in two or three transfer windows time, like that muppet Widdrington

Some ex Liverpool players, some ex Man U players with a sprinkling of Spurs players should do it

............Jaakola.............. New RB..New CB..New CB..New LB .......Grant..New CM......... New RW...New CAM...Nicholson ..........New ST..... Blimey Pirate got deep pockets to fund that? Remember we are going to be in League 2 Kilgour, Martinez, Leahy, Walker and possibly Ayunga and Westbrook are good enough. They just need the spine of experience around them

Kilgour has shown this season that he is not good enough. His efforts have been nothing short of awful. As with every single one of the central defenders,he has been a mistake waiting to happen.

I think heβs suffered in a poor team Put an experienced no nonsense centre back alongside him and we would see a different player, more than good enough for League 2
