Assuming the squad stayed (apart from loans returning) the same and we had no injuries, how would you line up day 1 of next season
This would be mine

Hare..Kilgour..Martinez..Leahy

..Barrett... Westbrook...Nicholson
........Walker.....Hanlan.....
I'd want to go attacking from day 1. I'm hoping with a full pre season, JB can get a tune out of Barrett otherwise would consider Mehew.
I think pace will be the name of the game next season

Barrett I have my doubts as to whether he'll play league football again, and watching Hanlan diving, falling over and generally being a pile of cack is not something I'd want to do in a long while, unless he cuts it out of course. Since Christmas, watching him has literally made me angry.
Not sure if I can answer your question I'm afraid, as firstly it's moot because we won't stay the same and we will have injuries; Nicholson is already confirmed. Secondly, the idea of selecting an 11 from our existing squad is quite depressing for the start of a new season.

This assumes we get the Ehmer that played for Gills if not replace him with Baldwin. Replace Martinez with Westbrooke for easier home games. For games where we need more physical presence replace Daly with Ayunga who switches position with Hanlan.
With desired signings replace any of the 3 centre backs with a new signing, replace Martinez with a new signing and replace Daly with a new striker who switches position with Hanlan.

I think if we get about 6 new players and release the ones out of contract then we could have a good side. Most players are ok but need a new spine to the team .

Smash the lot down. Every last bit of it. If you find a good one amongst the rubble keep it but get rid of the rest.

For me it’s crucial that we concentrate on a strong spine and 2 new strikers. Not sure about Hanlan- will he ever be a striker or should he be deployed out wide?
If Daly can’t get in this side you would have to imagine Barton really doesn’t rate him.

I would be looking to go 4-2-3-1. Full-backs providing width, keep the ball down playing out from the back, two defensive midfielders, three number 10s (as it were), a quick striker who is good at finding space and taking on players to create his own chances.

I can't believe we will or any one is suggesting that we will start off next season with 11 players selected from the current squad! they may well fare better in league 2 and give us a mid table season but think JB will be aiming much higher .I anticipate a few of present squad, a few 'bubbling under of our own younger players and a few of JB,S handpicked signings similar to Kampucheagas
