With big questions over things like capacity next season I wonder if Ifollow will still be avaiable? I must admit I would like the choice of being able to watch away games on Ifollow or at least the long distance ones but also thinking about the reduced availability for tickets. I also believe there would be a large number of fans who never or rarely go away who would watch on ifollow and the club get a portion of it as well.

The EFL’s intention with ifollow was always to switch back to the old rules that prevented ifollow games being shown on 3:00 on a Saturday in the UK and Ireland once the pandemic is over. I think pre pandemic, midweek away fixtures could be shown in the UK and Ireland, if both clubs could agree to it.
It really does depend on whether full attendances and away attendances will be permitted again next season, if some sort of restrictions are still in place, they may want to keep Ifollow around in its current form until things get back to being fully normal.

They should continue to make ifollow available in my opinion.
The vast majority fans that want to go to the game will not change their mind and choose to watch it on their phone or computer. I don't think it would have a big impact on attendances.
However, certainly for away games, it could earn clubs a lot more money. We might take 100-200 to Carlisle or Hartlepool but 1000+ might choose to watch on ifollow.
I also think there will be those that are too nervous to sit in a crowded stadium and I don't think it would be fair to take away their chance to watch their team.

I won’t be watching on ifollow if I can see a home match in person.
Away games another matter altogether. Enjoy having the ability to watch if a trip is out of the question

We would see a drop in attendances due to less away fans and their spend in the bars and pasty stands.

Speaking as a seventy one year old and living 100miles away from the Mem, I would be quite happy to pay a tenner/ game to watch all the away games. I would also hope to manage to attend a few away games, Newport, Cheltenham, FGR, Exeter etc, promotions excepted. As regards the home games will be renewing my ST irrespective of what league were in, but my previous sentence might give away what league I think.it will be. I will hope to attend the majority of those games, hopefully without a mask as up to now I have failed to find one that avoids steaming up the specs!

Would be interesting to see what the difference would be between fans being there and what we'd get from iFollow. The biggest losers would probably be the pubs on Gloucester Road

Ifollow should never ever be available for Saturday 3pm games once we are allowed to safely attend.

The Government has said all Covid restriction Laws will cease on June 21st so unless they make up some more there will not be any restrictions on attendances next season

There was a questionaire put to those who use ifollow about their football watching currently ,previously and into the future.
Watching all the games this season the club gets about £500.
How much is a terrace season ticket ?
The club does fine if its an individual watching ifollow. If there are 2 or more then the club potentially loses out. However they only lose out if its a person who would normally go to games .

I think I will put my season ticket money into player sponsorship again next season .... I seriously can't see myself and son going to many games at all, not because of the League we are in, but this time off has me more appreciative of Family Saturdays. Equally the match day experience is totally awful ....think i'm getting choosy in my old age.

The notes in the Government roadmap suggest testing maybe required for large sporting events: "Reopen the remaining closed settings, including nightclubs and enable large events, including theatre performances, above the Step 3 capacity restrictions, subject to the outcome of the scientific Events Research Programme and potentially using testing to reduce the risk of infection, subject to further evaluation"

I will continue to spend £120 or whatever it is for the season. I will stay up past midnight to watch Tuesday night games then go to work the following morning tired after only five hours sleep wondering why I stayed up late to watch such rubbish. Then I’ll do it all again the following week!

Ifollow should never ever be available for Saturday 3pm games once we are allowed to safely attend. I agree, and it wouldn't even work for away games only because you could simply just set up an account with the visiting team to watch home games.... Needs a complete return to how it was.....

The future of the game is with iFollow, just like TV is a vast revenue generator for the big clubs.
If the clubs can experiment on pricing both match attendance and iFollow then they could find a sweet spot where revenue is maximised and attendances dont drop.
