Disappointed to read and hear comments about us playing trams like Barrow, Harrogate etc., we need to respect all the teams next season and let's not forget we are far from being anything special and it is going to be tough.

Harrogate is a very nice place, and if we can we will go up for the weekend. Not so sure about Barrow though 😊

We wouldn't be saying stuff like this about Notts County, Chesterfield, Wrexham etc and these teams aren't even in the league.

Good post. As Further evidenced by Tinnion yesterday, there’s already one club in Bristol for whom the word class just doesn’t exist.
We might be crap at the moment but let’s never sink to their level.

Will be angry to see any HMS p&$$ the league threads, we are at Harrogates and Barrows level, although things could be worse if we supported Yeovile, and swindle facing a points deduction.
We have utterly deserved this relegation, 21 games with no goals, and can t defend.

Always remember an away evening game at Notts County in the Gerry days. We lost. We found a pub on the outskirts of Nottingham for a drink. It was soon full of Gasheads singing and laughing. A Forest fan came in and struck up a conversation. "What did you win by" he asked. "Oh, no, we lost." He was flabbergasted - why celebrate losing? We just said "it's a night out, and we support the team whatever." He clearly didn't get it. Expected you'd slink off back home to lick wounds. We're special. (BTW - it made the landlady's day. It was her birthday, pub decorated up, and no-one turned up. Until we did. And made her day.)

We are in for another tough season. How any of our fans can slate other clubs is beyond me.
We are no better or too big to be in league 2, let's get that straight.
We need to respect our opponents whoever they are. I am hoping Joey uses this summer to assemble a side of hard working professional. No time for complacency again next season.

There needs to be an autopsy from the groundsmen to the board, this coupled with, probably a 75% new squad thats not had a season playing together? I'll be surprised if we make league one in three years

Remember the cocky Sunderland fans, nice to visit the mem but we are only here for one season, well you re still here!
We need to be nice and Bucklesque and lower our expectations, joey is planning to win the league, I'm thinking play offs would be a good season, as we need to learn to score again.

There is little more pathetic than a patronising football supporter who thinks that their team has a divine right to succeed and an inherent superiority over the rest of the teams in the division. Typical examples include some supporters of Liverpool, Manchester United and in our league, Sunderland.
We are going down as the worst team in L1. We have been in a downward spiral for a long time and it will take a huge effort to arrest the losing mentality at the club. A tilt at the playoffs would be a positive season especially after the depressing performances of this season.

Nobody is claiming we don't deserve to be where we are, it's just incredibly damning on the football club that we are where we are. You look at League Two this season and bar perhaps Bolton and Tranmere there's not one side you would say are "bigger" than Rovers (Bradford have a nice stadium and bigger crowds, but their season tickets are deliberately cheap to pack the ground). There's not one team in that league we shouldn't be aiming to finish above. Bristol Rovers going down to League Two with the ambition of imposing themselves on the likes of Harrogate and Crawley etc. isn't disrespect, it's just hoping, after years of cutting corners, the club finally takes this as a kick up the arse.
We went down to the conference and respected that league, but knew we were the biggest side there by a mile, and there's a good chance it'll be the same for us next in L2. It's not like previous years where there were massive clubs in L2, it really is a terrible division and we should set our stall out at 3rd place as a minimum.
There's nothing wrong with high standards, indeed, DC having high standards at Rovers is what took us to 10th in League One in the first place.
All love, I respect your viewpoint and appreciate you don't follow Rovers to watch them win every week, but we've been so bad it's beyond parody for 18 months. For me, we need to raise our standards and demand a little bit more from the football club.

Still we charge over the odds, field a losing team, and wonder where the money goes
