Just got in, and have to say that whilst pleased with a point in light of losing Mildy, we could and should have won it. Wrexham were no better attacking than Welling, but sadly nor were we tonight.
Blissett did little as did Browner, Taylor etc etc. Parkes needs to learn how to operate the offside rule. Kept playing them onside. And Darrell needs to get the players in tomorrow and have them tested for colour blindness. They can't seem to pass to one another.
The free kick by Wall scared me. I wouldn't have liked to be on the wrong end of that, and i don't know how the cross bar survived.
No, this was definitely an off night, but I did say on the way up I'd be happy with 4 points this week, so still on course. I guess it's now no longer performances (was it ever). It's all about collecting points.
Spoke to Della Verde after the game, and his words were, 'not looking good'. Very sad if he's played his last game for us. Mildy out for two/three weeks. Puddy hasn't broken his arm, he has a crack in the bone and he will be out for another four weeks according to DC.
Pathetic crowd tonight, but at least the 398 of us made quite a racket.

Can't agree re Browner I thought he had an excellent game down the left and put in 6 or 7 very good crosses. His problem was due the fact that Monkey played in front of him and due to the injuries he had to play the 90 mins and his legs were gone after 55.

It was definately an off night, second to the ball every time and being Wrexham, our bogey team was so relieved at the final whistle for the point. Iv'e never seen a staranger game, two injuries, a sending off. The sending off definately balanced the books for us re Mildy's injury. Thought the defence were brilliant second half keeping the play away from McChrystal as much as possible and he did brilliant when he did come into play. Think a special word has to be said for Browner, at one point he too looked like he was injured enough to come off but he kept battling and played through it. As you said Alex Wall's free kick was unbelievable. Was sat right behind it and cant believe the crossbar survived. Btw the official figure was 193 gasheads

DC said last night the bone isn't broken, it's got a slight crack in it. You'll have to take it up with him. I can only say that if it was broken he would be out for two or three months minimum. As for Browner, sorry, but thought he had a poor game.
But whatever, I would rather play the game with 10 men than no goalkeeper. Wrexham did nothing to test McChrystal, and can't believe we got away so easily with a part time keeper. He didn't have to make any save of note. Mind you, to begin with it seemed like he had forgotten that he could use his hands. But fair play to him, he did everything required of him in goal.
As for the crowd, you are right it was posted as just under 200. Last night I said to the guy next to me that I thought it was about 250 of us there. So I wouldn't argue with the official figure. I quoted what a friend texted me as our following, and couldn't believe it at the time.

A crack in the bone is a break matey. Or a fracture. On the LDV front - What the hell is it with us getting decent loan players in who play 1 or 2 games and then injured?
