Would love to listen into the phone call.
JB: “yep Ehmer is fantastic, gave his all and absolutely solid. I’ve always rated him and thought highly of him. Would be devastated to see him go”

I think he will go to a league one club (If he does leave) just for his time at Gillingham. Attitude stinks and was awful us so hope he leaves.

Truth in the rumour? Or just that Ehmer will be off?

Frankly Ehmer played like he didn't want to be here

Ehmer must be one of the club’s highest paid players if we lured him from Gillingham. He’ll probably inherit Bennett’s spot of attracting pelters as he sits on the sidelines collecting a large pay packet every week.
Best chance we have is to find a loan move to cover some of his wages if JB is firmly intent on getting rid.

I can't comment on his attitude --- I don't know the guy. I can state that his first season at Rovers was dismal. He came with a huge fanfare and he was the centre back that the defence would be built on. In reality, he has been poor. He was viewed as the new defensive leader following the departure of Tony Craig ( in my opinion that decision was the worst that Garner made). In reality what a joke that turned out to be.
Best for both player and club that he leaves. He should be able to attract a L1 club based on his Gillingham reputation. I wouldn't want him here next season and I suspect Barton feels the same.

Made a public apology after the thrashing at Accrington but things didn't improve.I always thought watching him play that his heart wasn't in the club and that he was in second gear.

That's probably the case with most of the squad apart from Jaakola, Leahy, Nicholson and McCormick? You sense as soon as most of the rest joined the club they realised they'd made a big mistake. As far as Ehmer apparently he performed at his best at Gillingham when partnering a dominant CH, something he never had at Rovers. P1ss poor recruitment/scouting probably made him a poor signing.
