It seems the following were all retained, Mildenhall, Brown, O Clarke, Parkes, McChrystal, Lockyer and Harrison, who all played a big part in our subsequent return to the football league, so hardly a massive cull of the starting 11 players Ellis was transfer listed, DC was pretty ruthless at times, make nae doubt about that.

Talking about Harrison at the end of that season he was put on the transfer list and he certainly improved after that

I don’t think we’ve learned the lesson. This lot got us relegated with probably the most abject performances I’ve seen since the Graydon era. None of us know these players. JB has essentially said most of them aren’t good enough, aren’t professional, weren’t even fit and had an attitude problem.
We don’t what any of them train like. I don’t think anyone is safe and I would be happy to see the back of all of them. But who's vetting JB to make sure he knows what he's saying his 100% correct? What if a couple of bad apples have spoilt the whole squad and just rooting out those with issues would resolve the issues? Buckle did something similar to what Barton seems to be doing and we never really recovered until we fell into the Conference. So did Darryl Clarke and look how that went

I have no axe to grind with Barton, and would probably have chosen to appoint him from the realistic options at the time, but this seems a huge amount of free reign to give to someone who is very inexperienced. We gave that to the Salisbury manager and he ended up arguable the most succesful manager in our history

All part of the squad who went out of the league. Just shows that players who don’t have a great season, can, with increased confidence and under the right circumstances can come back and be successful. Istr that in that January ‘17 when we thrashed Northampton and beat Swindon we had 8/9 players playing that we had in the Conference. UTG!

Anssi, Nicholson, Grant, Leahy, Kilgour, Rodman and Martinez are several that staying clear of injuries and with the right players around them could have a significant role to play. Even Ehmer should be good enough for League Two with the right players alongside him.

Rather have you Pirate than Ehmer let s get rid if we can, Don't get me wrong, I'd get rid of Ehmer if possible, but ability wise he should be able to do a job at that level. But as I said, would get rid if possible. Not my sort of player.

Perhaps he will be again under a different manager. Ehmer's best/better performances seemed to come under Tisdale. I dont see him playing under Barton after what was said, but stranger things have happened

No medical treatment required. Joey gave him the cold shoulder.

And if both Ayunga and Hanlan are still here next Season I'm going to regret renewing my ticket.

Hanlan has to go. Complete donkey. Blissett mark 2. Agreed, although Barton claimed after the Wigan game that they were tracking him at Fleetwood. Maybe he thinks he can improve him with a decent pre-season? Although if I had to watch Hanlan pathetically throwing himself to the floor under every 50/50 challenge again next season, then I might scream.

Can't we just keep all the players and coaching staff? Surely they'll all come good at some point...🤣 Correct, that point will be The National League South.
