I don’t think we’ve learned the lesson. This lot got us relegated with probably the most abject performances I’ve seen since the Graydon era. None of us know these players. JB has essentially said most of them aren’t good enough, aren’t professional, weren’t even fit and had an attitude problem.
We don’t what any of them train like. I don’t think anyone is safe and I would be happy to see the back of all of them. But who's vetting JB to make sure he knows what he's saying his 100% correct? What if a couple of bad apples have spoilt the whole squad and just rooting out those with issues would resolve the issues? Buckle did something similar to what Barton seems to be doing and we never really recovered until we fell into the Conference.

There's not been anything official yet to suggest any coaches have left.
The only speculation that's remotely public is that Coles has left.

The club should adopt Peterboroughs model and transfer list all players that have one year left on their contract. Isn't the difference Peterborough transfer list players who won't sign a new extended contract not players they want to move on? Probably only Nicholson, when he regains his fitness, falls under that category for us, I'd imagine transferring listing him will go down well this summer! As has been said, Peterborough's police is to transfer list all players with a year left on their contracts. Their owner widely clarified this last season in the media. Probably due to their promotion Broom has been listed with two years left on his contract, it would appear they don't think he is a Championship player.

DC did it when were relegated to the Conference. Hardly an experienced manager then. DC didn't, to my recollection, get rid of several coaches including youth level coaches. Nor did DC try and revamp the medical department at the same time. It just feels a lot to do in one go. Pretty certain at least Brown and Lockery stuck with us, did he have a massive clearout of most of the 1st team players?

We had hardly any coaches at that time and our vast medical department which we have now, consisted of Phil Kite at that time.

In fairness to joey he has played at the top level, and despite receiving solicitors letters allegedly from ex managers, has reiterated the poor pre- season training and subsequent training sessions, and said that our players were not fit. He is taking control and the proof will be in the pudding, interesting times ahead.

It was well into double figures.

Looking at players under contract I believe the only player with a longer deal was Zain Westbrooke he has 2 years left on his contract the rest have 1 year left unless they have a option on them

It seems the following were all retained, Mildenhall, Brown, O Clarke, Parkes, McChrystal, Lockyer and Harrison, who all played a big part in our subsequent return to the football league, so hardly a massive cull of the starting 11 players
