Genuinely don't believe he would be based on last seasons displays. His level looked lower L2 / national league. Rated him at Newport but a couple of years if relative inactivity seem to have set him back

Why would he be any better just because we are in lg2 ? He was at fault for a lot of goals and imo we can do a lot better than that.

Because L2 is a lower lever and goalies will be of a lower standard, our whole defence was all over the place last season, I'm not even sure Jaakola excelled himself.

Rather have Jed ward and get a decent striker or two with the savings.

Jed Ward needs at least a season before playing even at League 2. Personally prefer a bigger keeper .

Would Joe Day have been better with a commanding centre half in front of him, a la Lumley and Sweeney a few seasons ago? Cheltenham had jack Butland a few years ago at 18, and other young keepers, I was disappointed with Day expected more, but maybe a Hughes type in front of him might have made a difference, or Tony Craig. We cant afford to waste money on luxuries, we are a league 2 club with a good fan base, dont want to read any of this HMS P#$$ the league, we are in the same league as Forest green and sutton united, if you had told me this in 1974 that this would happen I would think you should be certified 😂 Bonham still available, but more worried about the striking options.

Trouble is with having both Jed Ward and Jaakkola as 1st and 2nd choice is they could both be away on international duty at same time.

Jed Ward needs at least a season before playing even at League 2. Personally prefer a bigger keeper . He needs some low level loans to play some men’s football as well, surely he’s not close to even being number 2

Jed Ward needs at least a season before playing even at League 2. Personally prefer a bigger keeper . Two of the best keepers in League Two this season were youngsters playing their first seasons in mens football. League winner and Team of the Season Josh Griffiths with 21 clean sheets and Jamie Cumming with 16 clean sheets.
