Struggle to generate much excitement for young loan signings given we're effectively developing a player for another club.

I'm not talking about experience, I'm talking about ownership. Unless we have an agreement to make it permanent, it doesn't feel particularly desirable.

Welcome to the Gas Connor! Hope the move works out well and ignore any miserable feckers, they generally don't like anyone!

Harries has been told to go as he wont be playing for us. Meanwhile I would be happier if we were getting players up front. Source? Get rid of him and Barrett today and alongside Ehmer going it would make my week.

Exactly. And then there is Anssi, Rodman and Nicholson etc who all have experience.

Unless we have an agreement to make it permanent, it doesn't feel particularly desirable. You can’t get the staff. It used to work that we developed players and sold them to big clubs. Big clubs now get players, loan them to us to develop and then sell the ones they don’t want back to us. See last year. The ones we bought and owned - lidl, ayunga, Daly etc V McCormick All the good ones are with big clubs

The idea that we don't have enough experience in the team is rubbish. We sign 4 experienced players on the same day and people still moan.

IMO there should be a CAP on youth squad players and we would see a better standard filtering through the lower leagues. Everything is done to benefit the big clubs though, always has.

Struggle to generate much excitement for young loan signings given we're effectively developing a player for another club. As long as he performs well in a Rovers shirt and helps us towards succeeding that’s good enough for me.

Welcome to the gas Connor. Hope it goes well. As we had last season we’ve got plenty of experience. It remains to be seen if we’ve got enough quality. But I suspect the key signings are yet to be made. UTG!

You’ve mentioned it on several threads but never reply when someone asks you... is this just Gaschat facts again? Personally I’d prefer us to move Baldwin on and develop Harries as I think there’s a lot more potential there.

Exactly my thoughts re Harries..by far and away the most comfortable centreback we have when on the ball and a decent passer of the ball.

I would move both on if possible
