Welcome young man hope it goes well for you and Rovers. Think we had Sweeney from Stoke on loan first spell and he was great.

I'm not talking about experience, I'm talking about ownership. Unless we have an agreement to make it permanent, it doesn't feel particularly desirable. You can’t get the staff. It used to work that we developed players and sold them to big clubs. Big clubs now get players, loan them to us to develop and then sell the ones they don’t want back to us. See last year. The ones we bought and owned - lidl, ayunga, Daly etc V McCormick All the good ones are with big clubs Oxford managed to attract good young players from big clubs in recent years and have a good record of selling them on. Similar with Peterborough, but from lower levels. We just haven't identified enough of the right ones.

I wonder if you might get a bit more action from the club now that JB is taking over recruitment mate. I know you mentioned previously that you pass on the names etc to the club... be great to see us sign one of your scouted players IMO

Maybe if we had approached McCormick ahead of Millwall he'd have said yes. Perhaps unlikely, but you get my point I think at times it's probably are fault for not trying to make things permanent once they've proven themselves (i.e. instead of waiting until the loan has finished!)

What’s your source for this? You’ve mentioned it on several threads but never reply when someone asks you... is this just Gaschat facts again? Personally I’d prefer us to move Baldwin on and develop Harries as I think there’s a lot more potential there. I was told by an employee of the club, and later I read it both on here and facebook. I would move both on if possible Ah, read it on here and Facebook. Full confirmation there then. 😂

Centre halves then that’s: Hughes Connor Baldwin Kilgour Martinez Harries I’m gonna guess Martinez will be moulded into a defensive midfielder. One of Harries or Baldwin to be possibly shown the door? Harries will go. 100%. We’d also accept a decent offer for Alfie. His stock was high before Garner got his hands on him, so I can see there still being some interest around.

Oxford seem to have copied the P'boro model in just a few years and also don't seem to pay big money for their players upfront like P'boro tend to, it looks like Atkinson is now being sold for £1m+, they must consider it a bad season if they don't sell at least one player for £1m+. McCormick looks a potential £1m+ player but it seems we've made no attempts whatsoever to sign him.

Why would any club pay a transfer fee for Kilgour when there must be free transfer available who are just as capable based on last season's form?

Hmm, Does that all of these signings will be completed by July 1st or ALL signings to be made ? Pretty certain it means all the signings mentioned in that article, unless JB's signed a whole new squad already and we're just being dripped fed details of the new signings? All that stuff about players being impressed about the new training ground must be a depressing read for SwissGas.
