Trading loss down to just over £2.4 million and debts from over £15 million to £ 1.835 million.
May have been an aweful season football wise but overall the club looks healthier than it has done in many a year

A lot of reasons to be positive about the future of the club.
In Wael we trust.

Great to see the liabilities drastically reduced.

Wael said he had paid our debts off and of course invested money in the Quarters, all those that doubted him will hopefully shut up their moaning and go away. If JCH is sold then sell on money received would mean our debts would be close to disappearing as they would have done if there wasn't a lock down. Well done Wael you good as saved this club from a worrying situation.

May have been an aweful season football wise but overall the club looks healthier than it has done in many a year Need to be careful when quoting on financial matters. The accounts filed are for Bristol Rovers Football Club Limited. The main accounts which need to be considered are the consolidated accounts for Bristol Rovers (1883) Limited. As of a few minutes ago when I checked these had still not been filed. The debt with Dwayne Sports is in this latter company as well as the main asset of the Memorial Stadium. Even then it is always difficult to get an accurate detailed assessment of the full current financial position just from a set of filed historical audited accounts and especially so without specialist accounting knowledge (I am a recently retired global accounting expert, international auditor, forensic investigator and a current shareholder in Bristol Rovers (1883) Limited).

Wael bashers eating humble pie. Thank you El Presidente! I highly doubt it. There will be enough wriggle room in the figures to find something.

Thank you for the comment. In the past the accounts of the 2 limited Companies have more or less been mirror images of each other. why do you believe that will change now? i accept your points about historical audited accounts but they are all that is available in the public arena which will allow potential suppliers or creditors to make decisions re the viability of any company and so they are important. The entire system is in fact potentially flawed as it often relies on the accuracy and honesty of internal accounting procedures to provide information to the auditors. People with specialist accounting knowledge can get it wrong.

The entire system is in fact potentially flawed as it often relies on the accuracy and honesty of internal accounting procedures to provide information to the auditors. People with specialist accounting knowledge can get it wrong. The 1883 accounts are the only ones that will give the real indication of the external debt (including that owed to Dwayne Sports). I note that a note entered by Companies House today on its website has indicated that these accounts have now been filed and will be available to view within the next ten days. I try not to get drawn into an analysis of the accounts as, for me, they usually throw up more questions than answers (and yes having signed audit reports on far larger companies than Bristol Rovers you are correct in that specialist accountants and auditors do get things wrong). There are others on here prepared to give a technical review (eg Swiss - who I have always found to be technically accurate). However, in our current situation where we are reliant on Wael for his financial support, I differ from Swiss in that I do not think that is helpful to get into a public debate especially on technical matters where comments are invariably misunderstood or mis-interpreted. Also at the end of the day any views that Swiss may have are unlikely to be supported by the the vast majority of fans or change how Wael runs the club.
