Did he not follow Timmy when we had him on loan? Yeh but he was that dogsh*t you have expected him to block him shortly after. If Timmy Abraham comes here I will cry. Genuinely. I will break down in tears. These youngsters can develop very quickly. Abraham is still only 20. Luke Mccormick was sh** for Shrewsbury but was our POTS the following year, and he was older than Abraham.

I can see why they may have revisited Timmy and are prepared to swap him in for Jonah. Two years ago they devoted a lot of time to scout him and he was the one incoming that was undertaken without any input from the new manager, who by the end of the window had so many new toys in the box like Barrett, Daly, Ginnelly and JML plus a fit for duty JCH that he used Timmy sparingly and he never got any confidence from the odd sub appearance in a faltering side.
We’re anticipating that Jonah, if he stays, will be a back up striker at best….but he’s taking up a full squad place. If Timmy were to live up to the standards they saw when they originally scouted him then that’s a 20 year old back up striker who doesn’t take up a full squad place which becomes freed up for a Pitman type signing instead (once Harries, Liddle and a n other are sent to Swindon as embargo compliant emergency parcels)

If we signed Timmy then he won’t count against the squad numbers. Even if he’s crap it’s a free pass. Hopefully he’s a much better player than the first time around.

Seem to remember Connor Roberts being awful. Not too sure him or Timmy A got any real chances. Connor R because we had some solid FBs at the time and he was only cover and Timmy because there seemed a lot of other choices as well. UTG!

To be fair to Timmy - Garner didnt sign him and publicly stated that which must have been a huge confidence booster for the Lad. He then played him in games with about 10 minutes to go and us chasing the game.
Would be happy to see him here and given a proper chance - would be an upgrade on last season.
In an ideal scenario we would bring in TA + One ... Would be very happy for it to be Pitman but sense he might go to Cheltenham if we dont get on the front foot (if we even want him of course)

When Timmy was with us, I wasn't sure what his best position would be. He didn't really look as though he could play with his back to goal, but he did look as though he could move quickly. As has been already said on this forum, young players can come on quickly. Read the following, a short while ago a very big club had their eye on him, but the paperwork fell through.
"Abraham was set to join Dortmund on loan with a €2.2million option to buy next summer".
We may see as an excellent prospect who will be in the first team quickly in this division, and get much better in the course of time
If James Belshaw is now a done deal then we will not have any keeper problems in the next couple of seasons with the two senior ones we have on board, and the talented young prospect coming through.
