RIP Ken, he was an early favourite of mine when my parents considered I was too young to attend first team matches and had to settle for watching the reserves in the Football Combination. Saw him rattle the bar from the halfway line once. Incidentally the obit on the official site says “Born in Edinburgh in 1945, Ronaldson spent 4 years wearing the famous blue and white quarters between the years of 1965 and 1969.“…but of course he never wore the quarters as we were playing in blue shirts with white collars and cuffs then. When Ken left us for Gillingham Carl Gilbert came the other way, what a header of a ball he was.

Fond memories of Ken Ronaldson at Eastville in the all blue kit of the mid sixties. A very skilful footballer in a good 65/66 Squad. Not half bad was it? RIP, Ken. Attachment Deleted

Sadly another one gone from my early years of supporting Rovers. Ken was a favourite of mine, a skilful and classy player.
RIP Ken Ronaldson.

A good point about the all blue shirts although in his first season with the club he actually played in blue and white stripes!

Too young to remember Ken, but thank you for serving our club with distinction and may you rest in peace.
Condolences to your family and friends.

Possibly one of the most skilful players to have played for us.
Bit disappointed with the obituary on the main site though - was the grainy b/w photo the best they could find?
Also, he was never a winger - played mainly as an inside forward or second striker to the no 9 in today's terminology.
