There has been a lot going on recently and it might just have been missed amongst the drama of that thread. If someone were to report the post we were we would have a chat about it and discuss an appropriate course of action. As has been stated on other threads GGMI hasn’t been banned for a given action he has been banned for repeatedly failing to adjust his behaviour after being asked by moderators to not be a pest. It was suspected he had created a secondary account and he did nothing to help his cause - behaving in a way which appeared to validate those suspicions. We collectively decided we’d had enough after he’d come back from one of a number of breaks. So GGMI was banned because you mistakingly thought he'd created a second account, surely it's innocent until proven guilty? As far as masks are concerned as anybody else noted it seems mainly "yobs" not wearing masks now in supermarkets etc, the type who turn up 5 minutes after kick offs in away games and cause a scene. I think it should be put to a vote to the community at large here. If you look on the mental health thread you can see him contribute quite rationally and that he has been affected in that way. I'm not saying it excuses his behaviour but it may explain it and by removing him because it gives the mods more work may have done more damage to him than people may realise.

Not sure where toppers original post has gone. On that front, we’re not a court and we don’t necessarily need to have an offence to take action if the general behaviour is poor enough. I think there’s an acknowledgement that yeah, we got it wrong that it was GGMIs account. But he didn’t help himself with the way he was interacting with ShawyBlue. Regardless of if we got that right or not, we’d been pushed to the limit by his constant booming and bumping and general WUM behaviour. I guess we could take the suggestion of a community vote away to discuss as a mod group but honestly I don’t think it would change anything! I think the matter of GGMI has been done to death. I personally won’t be replying to any more posts on the matter and suggest we all move on and discuss the threads at hand.

I don't think a public popularity contest is a good idea to be honest, for any poster. Other than RD. Because f**k him.

When are we going to stop this nonsense. What’s the point in ‘freedom day’ if we still have to put everything on hold over positive tests. The vulnerable are double vaxxed… get on with it!!

Because the players can’t play? I thought that was obvious? No sh**, the point is that they should be able to play. This virus is with us for good. Where do we draw the line and stop the isolation nonsense?

The vulnerable are double vaxxed, except the ones that aren't, such as all vulnerable children under the age of 17, although vulnerable 12-17 year olds will now be offered it. Unfortunately I have family members that won't be able to come to my postponed wedding because of my 10 year old nephew having type 1 diabetes, which puts him at high risk. "Freedom day" has been and will continue to be, an absolute cluster f**k, in my opinion.

When are we going to stop this nonsense. What’s the point in ‘freedom day’ if we still have to put everything on hold over positive tests. The vulnerable are double vaxxed… get on with it!! A virus spreading as a global pandemic is NOT NONSENSE. Get a grip of yourself and accept the truth verified by world health experts. "Freedom Day" is only for some, some are no longer here to enjoy it, others will suffer for months and years to come both physically and mentally. Everyone is vulnerable whether they accept that reality or not. Those that have accepted the jab have helped the "Freedom Day" we all crave. Those who have been double jabbed are still catching the virus (and thus suffering AND spreading it FACT) For my part I do think we have to return to some sort of normality, as the players are required to test and have covid rules why not fans as well?. I was pleasantly surprised the club required double jab proof but the get out clause of LFT which can and will IMO be circumvented by the unbelievers. I do not think for one moment the club will extend these safety measure beyond either the friendly games and perhaps a few League games. The deal breaker for me is the non mandatory mask wearing both walking about and whilst the game is in progress. in at least some areas. The club has stated they have segregated area set up for the Swansea game, How easy is it to use segregated areas where masks are mandatory so that believers and non believers can both have their comfort zones. On this issue it is possible to please all of the fans all of the time. (Just sort out the football as well please!) We have been and still are in many places still wearing masks and RESPECTING both ourselves and others concerns. Simply to deny it's an ongoing problem is the nonsense, and many fans will feel unable to attend matches knowing full well that covid is not under control to an acceptable level especially as new variant is under review in the UK. It's up to Starmes if he wants ALL fans back or not!!!

I see Swansea played last night. Seemed too soon for them to play again following the cancellation of our game?
