Ooo hello , yr back ! đ Iâve had a look in here from time to time over the last few months but there hasnât been much worth commenting on. Once the football starts Iâm more interested, the selections, the players, formations , performances etc. Rumours and opinions about Court cases , arguments about not football playing matters by fans who 99%if which donât know the facts because they are fans donât interest me much but yeah never away just looking in every few days , not been posting because thereâs nothing to post on and looking forward to first game of the season. UTG Have to agree with this sentiment, bring on the football that's why I support the club, everything else is a distraction I am mostly not interested in!

Is it not the case that a lot of this is out of the club hands, eg no away fans and no pay on the day? I think with the Swansea game being cancelled we are still yet to have a âtestâ game to get safety certification. My understanding is that once weâve successfully had a reduced capacity test event we can then move to closer to normal with away fans being allowed for our first home game and also the match day ticket office re-opening. The club have taken a lot of stick recently but I donât think this is something that can be fairly added to the list of complaints. I donât think you are correct Eric. We donât need any test events, all restrictions on attending football matches have been lifted with effect from July 19th. There is no requirement for a test event like there was when some clubs were allowed to let home fans only in last season for a bit. Other clubs are allowing pay on the gate, most other clubs if not all are allowing away fans in. The fact we do neither is a club decision very much in their hands. Also Iâm not sure that the ticket office is reopening when the season starts. I think the club want to save on costs and force people to deal through ticketmaster. This is what I recalled from the FAQâs posted by the club ahead of the home friendlies, âWhy are there additional regulations in place? The club is working closely with our Safety Advisory Group as well as following the regulations from the EFL and government to ensure that your matchday at the Mem is as safe as possible. As we are yet to hold a test event the pre-season fixtures will be treated as these to help us demonstrate that match days can run smoothly and safelyâ.

I know that was the club response but Aston Villa are at Ashton Gate the same day as Oxford are at ours. Away fans allowed there but not at ours. Last week Villa played away at Stoke City. That was the very first time that fans were at the B365 since March 2020, yet home and away fans admitted no problem.

Would Tuesdays game not been a test event?

If Saturday is successful then maybe next to no restrictions going forward? Who knows!

Ticketmaster has been an absolute shambles so far, no doubt weâve got a 10 year rolling contract with them!

Can anyone who went Tuesday confirm that you can scan the TM ticket direct from your phone and don't have to bother with physically printing it?

www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2021/july/faq-return-of-fans/There is info on here about getting in - as well as saying why it is ticketmaster only - that is all they are allowed to do to avoid away fans going. Only people who have purchased Rovers tickets before can get them apparently. Appreciate you have to go on the website to find it - but they do explain why they are doing what they are doing and what you need to do in order to get in. Meanwhile pretty much every other club is letting away fans in. Why do we have to be different? Most other clubs had test even his last season, when lockdowns were regionalised. Donât think you can have away fans, for test events. Could be wrong thoughđ.

Iâd love a season ticket but canât with work and would sometimes rock up at 3:05 after a mad dash down the M4. Guessing that would be impossible now?

I can't understand the "rules", we're apparently messing about with "test" games for just a friendly with only a limited attendence but next week at Mansfield it just seems a free for all, with fans not required to have either a vaccine nor a negative test in what could potentially be a sell out away end.

If there's no social distancing etc in the ground next Saturday then I can't understand what a "test" event using social distancing will have a achieved anyway.
