Not a surprise at all - We have two or three leaders now on the pitch and PC will be awesome.
Delighted to be sponsoring his home kit!!

Max Ehmer's captaincy was a big disappointment.Didn't seem to have Rovers in his veins at all.Best wishes to Paul and hope it goes well young man.

A good and expected appointment.
More positive news coming from our great club. I wonder who'll be first to find something negative about this?

A decent appointment on paper. Potentially the best in a very long time.
Leahy. I liked him, but as a captain I think the appointment was desperate because of lack of candidates.
Ehmer. No comment.
Alfie. Too young.
Ollie Clarke. Again, I liked him but not as captain material.
Locks. Too quiet for me as a captain.
Probably my turn to defacto captain in recent seasons would be Tony Craig. Just an opinion, of course...

A good appointment, no surprises that he was picked as he seems to be the best candidate among a good choice. Certainly more leaders this year which is great.

He should have been mature enough not to react immediately, and clever enough to turn the attention on the antagonist, or the question of his leadership ability is brought into question.

Looking at the highlights, both players should have received red cards, Johnson for the elbow, Coutts for lashing out,l. I guess he should have just collapsed to the ground holding his chest as if he'd been poleaxed but I sense that's just not his style.

He could have acted the John Hurt part in Alien at the dinner table for good effect...... that would only have stopped short of most of Mansfield play acting....but may the fourth division be with you, we best get used to it quick.

Paul Coutts still has my total backing …. Poor judgement today but he will come back stronger for it.

Just seen the incident for the sending off, either both get reds or both get Yellows. So don't get where ref is coming from.
