We’re not playing great but before everyone melts down please do remember that we have pretty much all our strikers injured at the moment, we’re missing a number of key players who are coming back from injury / COVID protocols, this is NOT our 1st team starting line up, Cheltenham are a league above us and we did have the ball in the net immediately after half time but it was ruled out for offside…… if that had stood then it would be a different complexion….. add to that that it’s a new squad that will take a few weeks to gel and that whilst we had a pre season, it was hugely disrupted because of COVID protocols and pings etc…. I find people on here are so quick to criticise and jump on the ‘we’re sh#te’ everything is bad and we’re never gonna ever get better band wagon…. Thats because all we ask for is to have something to smile about... I could kind of stomach saturdays loss because of THAT goal we scored, but to lose showing little skill, little effort and no ideas... that no better than last season, and we're sick of it. We were promised better and there's little sign of it. Just Chuffing win a game ffs... sh1t I'll take a draw even |

I think too many getting ruffled too quick. I didn't want Joey. I don't think he did well last year with us. And I think I can make a strong case for sacking following the recent allegation. But in reserve order to all the above: We didn't. It's a new start and will take time. And he's here. So- I think we need to give it a little longer before we lose our heads. Anyone that thinks you go from failure to success in a blink hasn't done sport. Or much else in life. |

Highly unlikely but still a small part of me is hoping that we are looking at Norwood as Ipswich seem to have signed about 4 new strikers. |

People saying we should excuse a lack of goal threat because we have no strikers available ….
How has that even happened … they hardly played a pre season game each between them and three are injured - HOW FFS!!
Other clubs are building momentum and their strikers are off and running - not injured !!

We have little idea of mounting anything like a meaningful attack - Just trying to keep the score down. It is really quite woeful and although we are short of forwards this is very worrying, a continuation of last season.

Its my birthday today. All i really ask for is a win and for us to score more than one goal. Seems like i'll be putting the same wishes in for the next 10 years or so. At least. You'll be lucky to get a shot on target. Unfortunately i am of an age where i cant look forward to a shot on the target for birtdays or christmases. Doesnt stop me dreaming though.... |
