The last proper new stand that Rovers built was the North Stand at Eastville Stadium. It was opened in 1959, funded by the Supporters Club and never finished. You then have to go back to as far as 1924 to the opening of the South Stand at Eastville. It is nearly 100 years since the football club funded a 'proper' new stand.

That's questionable.... It is entirely possible that we might have bought a microphone stand during that period....

Bit of feedback there, gregsy.

Bit of feedback there, gregsy. I didn't suggest that we'd actually bought a microphone....

I know one thing, we’ve bought enough tents to house our own Glastonbury festival.

To get some perspective, in recent history we've only owned our own stadium for 23 years.

]It’s amazing that after seventy years of not laying one brick on top of another anyone would be disappointed with a 12,000 seater stadium. 😂
WE HAVEN’T BUILT A PERMANENT STURCTURE AT OUR GROUND THAT COULD HOUSE THE THE TEAM TO WATCH A GAME LET ALONE THE CROWD SINCE STANLEY MATTHEWS WAS IN HIS PRIME FOR GODS SAKE

we have the best sh**test tents a football club could dream of Random question, why did we put the family tent where it's is, and not make the south stand alittle bigger where the scoreboard is and make the southwest tent the family tent...It looks a shambles where it is.

Too many telecom/electric cables to move was the reason.

A better place (IMO) would be to extend the South West stand, filling in the gaps, and have a family section in there.
I would so love the Mem to be fully enclosed on four sides. It's not too much to ask, is it?

Why not just extend the West Stand seating the entire left of the west side, that might cost a £1m+ but would surely pay for itself in the 5+ years we're now likely to be at the Mem.

There are many options that would work, and cost a relatively small amount… I think it would improve morale, improve the match day experience and give us a sense of progress.
