I have a ticket for tonight going for free if anyone wants it? I can’t attend due to isolating on the technicality that I came home from abroad on Sunday. Take my word for it, it’s a covid free home and conveniently located near the Horfield Sports Centre.
UTG!

I'm already struggling to muster a trip to the Mem after one game, please God don't let this get any worse. This really is a problem isn't it. We have got used to not attending and watching in our lounges/bedrooms/bogs etc and not spending hrs before hand travelling/drinking/queueing etc so watching the footie at home for most only takes up 2hrs but 5hrs by attending. I have a ticket for Exeter and am driving. * me, am I not looking forward to that M5 on Saturday with all that traffic. I also have a ticket for Barrow so M5 and M6 to look forward to on a bank holiday weekend. Why why why am I doing it I must be insane! Travelling near the Lake District on a bank holiday weekend is insane! Even I’ve drawn the line at that.

I have to literally see a man about a dog in Portsmouth. So for that reason, I'm out.

On the plus side, the first two weeks of our last post relegation season didn't go too well but turned out ok in the end.

Would imagine you're right and not allowed to bring in an emergency keeper. If we can't beat this Oldham team then we really are in serious trouble. They have signed one today! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58248354

Agree with Sam Frost's predicted line up. Tough on Hoole but probably not a bad thing to use him sparingly, especially in such a low confidence side.
............Anssi ....Kilgour Hughes Anderton Rodman Finley Grant Anderson .........Thomas ......Collins Saunders
Nicholson for the last 30 if needed.

Same XI I’d go for as well. Saunders needs another body up top with him and would be good to see Thomas played more centrally and hopefully getting more involved in the game. Not ideal to have Anderson at LWB but would like to think we’ll be on the front foot a lot tonight, so shouldn’t need to rely on him defensively too much.

Still seems odd to suggest dropping one of our best players in the previous two league games, plus just how fit is Rodders to start a match if he's missed the entire pre-season? Why can't we just play 4-4-2 and play Anderton at LB? Have we ever been successful as a club playing with 3 CB's?

I’d rather we played Hoole again than started Rodman at wingback. The lads played well for us so far and needs the experience, why drop him?

Seems quite a lot of our fans travel considerable distances to support Rovers, good on them ,well done. It is a great effort on their part given recent events but we need that support more than ever now and the 'I' player thing must have some effect on those that are wavering, come on Rovers reward those travellers with a performance to be proud of, you owe them! I cut my family holiday short to watch Saturday and then drove back to them after. A 6 hour round journey altogether and definitely a waste of time and money. hopefully the team can put on a good performance tonight.

Perhaps they are saying Leutwiler is also injured.

Perhaps they are saying Leutwiler is also injured. Or he's refusing to play.

Yeah that’s probably the best line up to go with what we have available. I’ve said before I don’t believe Saunders is good enough for the football league but until other players are back we have to make do.

Eight goals in 29 appearances last season for Fleetwood tells me he is good enough for the football league.

The scoreline will no doubt start with Bristol Rovers nil. Hopefully it will also read Oldham nil too so that we at least get a point.

IFollow tonight and missing Exeter away as am away with the family.
I pray we have enough to win tonight - chance for Collins to show us what he can do and I think a goal from Finley tonight and possibly one from our defenders up for a corner. When we have Finley and Coutts together our midfield will start to show what it can really do.
Seriously hoping we can get rid of Hanlan and Westbrooke sooner rather than later - and the other stooges who are like Crows and Albatrosses around this years squad.
Come on Blue Boys - Our form has to turn soon.

Despite our woes so far this season I actually think we’ll win tonight…, it’ll be a change of shape and I think with the players we’ve got coming back and with hopefully Collins and Saunders playing as a 2 with Thomas behind - we should create more… call me nuts but I’m going for a 3 nil win…. Thomas, Hughes and Collins to score in a much improved attacking performance and us being something to finally cheer and celebrate!
