Does he know why James Hunt was always selected ahead of him under Atkins, because the rest of us don't have a bloody clue....

What was his worst moment playing for Rovers ?
What could the club have done/do to improve players day to day experience at Rovers ?
What was the worst pitch you played on professionally ?
Which opposition player you played against "pushed the limits of fairness" (cheated perhaps) most ?
What Rovers related memory always brings a smile to your face ?

Very good listen.
The Trollope sympathy thing is annoying though; players apparently still all for him, and think he should have been given more time, yet the performances they put in were woeful and we were already looking like relegation certs. That 0-3 defeat to Orient when Regan got sent off was the nail in the coffin for me.
Very interesting to hear about his relationship with Nick Higgs and how that broke down spectacularly!!

I don’t know. I see it similarly to the end of DC’s reign. I don’t think either boss lost the changing room or the players stopped trying. A lot of factors conspired on each occasion. History suggests we should have stuck by both managers through the bad patches.

We had a poor defence overall and lightweight bench. only going one way sadly. Both DC and PT never set the football management world on fire after we sacked them though

Really interesting interview. I thought it was interesting how he presented the Dave Penney situation. Not such a big falling out or clash of personalities as we'd been led to believe. Of course it's possible the passing of time has made it feel a bit less stressful than it was back then.

It's just us here talking to each other.

Think I would rather trust supporters rumours than someone who was actually in the dressing room. Great player for the Gas and some great times when he was in the team.
