Have Gloucester categorically said they turned him down, or has he opted to train with Rovers instead?

Blimey, we don’t need anymore on trial we have enough ongoing trials with Joey!

If they are not fit enough, or good enough anymore, we won’t give them a deal! So not sure, what the problem is??

Perhaps he was good enough but they could not afford to sign him. We will never know. Were obviously having a look for a second week. Will just have to wait and see.

Think Barton must be entering a team in the local over 40's walking football league and with these two in the squad then promotion must surely be on the cards in that league.

Could be that be wanted too much money for that level. Could be, he was not good enough. No harm in having a look. Pitman and Clarke race will be interesting.

Whelan maybe. He at least played a good number of games last season and could maybe do a similar job for us as Hoolahan did for Cambridge last season. That said, we already have Coutts. How different is Whelan?
Clarke is a big no for me. Hardly played or scored in the last couple of seasons. Only 10 appearances in all competitions last season for Shrewsbury. If we replace Hanlan with him, that's a shocking bit of business.

Maybe they are both looking at getting into management soon. Sign for us, can then put their name down when we are looking for a new manager within a couple of months!

As I said in the other thread about this, these 2 won't help JB get promotion that he thinks we will get. But these 2 should hopefully keep us away from the bottom 2. That's a win for me. We need all the help we can get. But if we sign these 2, we have to get rid of a lot more players as over the squad limit.
