I once spent a few weeks in Swindon on a training course. Now I’m not one to stereotype but, they are without doubtt some of the strangest people I have ever met. Something is not quite right at junction 15.

This will be a massive game for Barton, after all his criticism of Garner, he already has to look up the table to see how well the useless Garner is doing! If we loose we might see some of his most extraordinary excuses yet!! But you never know, he might even say he was wrong!

Absolutely could not care less about Swindon. I certainly don't consider them a rival.
As for their ground ... it's in Swindon, what more do you need to know?

Manufactured rivalries to us to boost interest are a nonsense..... Plymouth or Exeter - No .... Swindon or Oxford - No .... Forest Green or Newport - No
Even the 'orrible Red side aren't our rivals any more - the gap is way too wide and will keep on growing until we have a proper ground and any momentum or Lansdown walks which would be hilarious.
We just have to tolerate their nonsense -
They will lend players to any club especially in our league bar us - Whatever .... They dominate the local Media - Meh !! .... They try and bait us continually and worry about us more than their own personal lives ... Ooops!!
All that aside .... " There is no cure for being a backward Lady Garden like the majority of their fans " So happy to be a Proud Gashead thank you!!

Couldn’t care about any of the other “local” clubs tbh. City are still our main rivals and likely will be until they hit the prem, which can’t be too far away now. Once they hit the Prem they won’t even think about us and it’ll be a bit like Notts Forest/County. Sure there’s a bit more bite to a game vs Swindon, Oxford etc but wouldn’t class either as rivals and nothing like a Bristol derby. Not sure I agree with the City Prem comment MB. The chances of them establishing themselves in the Prem are quite slim, especially as it's inevitable it'll go down to 18 teams in the not too distant future. They are already light years ahead of us off the pitch. I don't think things would drastically change if they went up and made up the numbers in the top flight for a season or two.

True, reducing the number of teams , raises he standard and makes it harder to get in. We will have to settle for the Championship.
