Just been looking at our games coming up, and there no doubt that the biggest game we are facing in Sunday 28th Dec, home to 2nd place Macclesfield. Macclesfield are on a bit of a run so we will have to be on our guard. If we are going to get out of this league, this is the type of game we must win. The top of the league is now beginning to take shape and it looks as if all the major contenders for promotion are in place. The start of the promotion run in starts now. This is the time where DC has to do his job and tell his player we got to win every game. Draws are no good. Barnet cannot continue their run and will start losing some games. We have to be still in there to stand a chance of 1st time promotion or else it the dreaded play-offs!

Expect Clarke to be straight after a winger as soon as the window reopens.

We have half a dozen big games coming up next, beating Macclesfield won't count for anything if we lose, or at least fail to win in the other 5!

We have to set out to win every game now. Every game home or away is winnable we have to approach it with that attitude if we want to be champions.

One striker needs to step up and deliver (or two of them one at a time!) and we'll be there or thereabouts. I think in almost every game we have fluffed goal chances and if that habit stops we will win loads of games. So it's not the attitude which is wrong, it's the missed chances (and no, I'm not singling MT out because the other aspects to his game make him worth sticking with)

i will be surprised if we don't win by 2 clear goals It will be 3, minimum Ha! Love the attitude, but we haven't beaten anyone by three except Dorchester. Now we're going to do it to the 2nd-placed team lol. On the other hand.... there were moments in the first half when I thought we were going to do it to Barnet. Maybe you are right. Bring it on!

Does it early matter if we finish 2nd of 5th as long as we are in the play-off.

We have to be still in there to stand a chance of 1st time promotion or else it the dreaded play-offs! in general I agree. although I need to add the caveat that barnet have actually lost 2 of their last 6, and it;s unlikely we can expect much more than that. We've lost none of our last 6. BUT have we gained any ground on them? No. We've both got 10 points from those 6 games. This suggests the issue isn't so much Barnet needing to lose some more, but us needed to turn draws into wins.

Bang on MM, draws will kill us, we have to play to win. I think the Macc and Turkey games are massive for us

Does it early matter if we finish 2nd of 5th as long as we are in the play-off. Isn't it the case that 2nd plays 5th? Theoretically, coming 2nd gives you the advantage of playing the weakest team, if they are using that system this year.

Completely agree with you in regards to LDV, he made a massive difference to our attack, much like Martin did in his first handful of games, everything good we did came from him and LDV has had the same effect, I don't think its coincidence that the goals dried up when Martins performances dropped and I don't think its coincidence that we didnt score without LDV laying it on a plate, I like a lot of the players we have tho and I like the direction Clark is taking us in even if the performances aren't always pretty, I really want him to be the man that takes us up as much as I just want us to go up in general.
