Fair! Especially with our manager.

I’m not saying let’s start a bus. Keep it well within the garage. I’m just trying to be a bit more hopeful than downbeat. It has been sh** enough over the last 21 months

It has been sh** enough over the last 21 months ok, get the bus out, give it a wash and a good airing, look under the seats, clear out the old lads mags, empty cans and pasty wrappers. As discussed poor preparation can lead to all sorts of problems

Problem with that comparison is we had a great manager and an outstanding goalscorer then

I admire your optimism, but reality, right now , we are pants , don’t have a decent goal scorer .......still and can’t defend set pieces .......still. Get JB gone and I might be a bit more optimistic as I really don’t think he has a clue. ( This coming from a once HUGE supporter of JB )

( This coming from a once HUGE supporter of JB ) Yes we have some good individuals but the squad as a whole is very poor so even if we do sack JB I cannot see anything other than a relegation battle this season unless we buy some goals in January - and that won't be easy

I agree. There's plenty time to improve and the squads talented.
I want to see us play 4 3 3 though.
5 3 1 1 or whatever it is should only be played with target man.
Get a flat back 4 playing it simple.
I'd bring westbroke back in. And play Finley as a 10 to get the press high up, kinda how Sincs would start games there and drop later on.
Pitman in the middle supported by outside forwards in Saunders, Collins, Nicholson, Anderson. There's enough pace amongst them to scare most league 2 defences.
Have to stop 5 Defenders, playing it to 1 man up front. You need a Drogba, Costa, or JCH for that. We don't, but we have other moves.

If we win Sat we have more points than Bolton did after same games last season, i think? so reason to be hopeful, me being ever the optimist! Of course in this case it's a very big IF as i am yet to see any evidence that this squad is capable of giving us a good season, we just have to keep believing that JB can defy his many critics.

Yep, more points already: www.11v11.com/league-tables/league-two/26-october-2020/Not sure why but a lot more teams with fewer points at that stage last season. Maybe this season the league will be a lot closer?

If we beat Walsall ( our away hoodoo has to end at some point) and the ego contested game at Swindon (which is a must win for JAB more than the club) then all of a sudden it looks slightly more palatable.
I'm also on drugs.

Correct - our poor start doesn't need to define our season - provided we act NOW.
We need to replace the current incumbent with somebody who knows how to manage a football club.
Do that and we might have a fighting chance.
