If it wasn't the Clubs decision, how could they let the fans know? Well done Baggins, Mr Right wrong again. Huh?

Noticed no mention in the police report about letting Swindon fans out first standard practice has been for the away following to be held back for a hour regarding high profile games it will be interesting what happens with the Newport match I have always wondered about that.. ever since that game at Ashton Gate in '96 where Beadle got that last minute equaliser and the place went mad. After the game the away fans (us) were kept in so the home fans could leave.. except quite a few of them congregated at the away end exit throwing things and trying to get in at us. I couldn't for the life of me understand why we couldn't be let out first so we could safely escape!

I left after that goal, and was leading my teenage son and 3 of his friends across the area behind the East End, when we encountered City's finest heading towards us. Thankfully they were fully focussed on getting to the gates at the back of the stand, and I'd insisted on the lads wearing no colours. I reckon my heart was beating at least double the normal rate!

I was 16 years old and went with my mate of the same age. First game I had gone to without my old man... I wish I could say I was scared, but I was too young for that! I was absolutely buzzing with excitement - even when we were forced onto the pitch because of the surge as City fans rushed the exit After we finally got out we were walking round Bedminster trying to find our lift (as we were so late).. this was before mobile phones were common! How did we ever manage back then?
