That's a tricky one. For example, I haven't stayed away as I support the players despite who the manager is. I am sure the are many others like me. I don't want my support for the team in person to be confused with support for JB because I don't. Sorry, I didn't mean that a judgement could be made by the number of people attending, as I'm sure there are plenty of people there who don't approve of him. I was thinking more of the crowd's vocal reaction - there has been some very loud booing in the past, although not so much yesterday. Although, that's questionable too, as there have been plenty of things I've been unhappy about, but I've never booed the team. You know how I feel about him Tilly. But even I didn't boo yesterday. I didn't have it in me as I didn't want to waste my energy on him. I was more taking it all in thinking how bad we've become and how quick it has happened and hoping by 6pm we will find out he has gone and then thinking I can't see Wael doing it.
If everyone knew that booing or clapping at full time would be an indicator to where the fans stood, it would be an interesting result.

I know others have moved on but I haven’t, and won’t until he’s proven innocent of it.

And before anyone jumps down my throat - that's my perogative.

That's only the accusation there's no proof yet he's "done" anything, until he's ever convicted we've no real choice but to carry on employing him, at best we could only put him on gardening leave.

Conjecture? I guess. Common sense and logic IMO. It took him a few weeks to be disgusted with what he saw, even if he was one of the friends, then given that the alleged incident occurred in June and he only left in mid August.

And before anyone jumps down my throat - that's my perogative. I think in both cases it is very likely that he was guilty of both offences, but that there is unlikely to be sufficient "evidence" to find him guilty. In the assault charge against Stendel he apparently shoved him from behind into a metal railing. The CCTV only shows Joey running into the tunnel after him and not the actual shove. So probably reasonable doubt to acquit him there. We should find out from 26th NovemberThe DV charge is going to be even harder to prove. No witnesses willing to testify and so prosecuted on the strength of the phone call made by his wife? We should find out from 16th December

No witnesses willing to testify and so prosecuted on the strength of the phone call made by his wife? We should find out from 16th December One of the key witnesses in the Stendel case will be the player who apparently saw JB push Stendel, if he comes across to the jury as an honest witness who clearly saw JB push Stendel it's hard to see how the jury won't find him guilty, although if he performs anything like Stendel did in Germany then they'll probably find him not guilty. On the DV charge it'll be interesting to see how JB is going to explain away Mrs B's phone call along with her apparent injuries, plus we've no idea whether the fiends gave any statements to the police at the time and whether they are still not going to assist. If the Hill's were the friends, as suggested on here, then what's now stopping them giving evidence? Apparently 80%+ cases heard in the Mag Court end with a guilty verdict so JB's not going to find it that easy to get a "not guilty" verdict.

The biggest surprise is nobody has started a petition for him to be removed from his post. If you strongly want him gone, I strongly suggest now is the time to do this.

Do you know I think this whole saga just needs to be brought to an end now. Even if we have an upturn in form the job is just untenable for Joey. I know he is a ‘proud’ man etc but someone (the board) need to grasp the nettle and do the right thing.
I have nothing against him personally but there is so much negative noise and some pretty unpleasant stories. If it was all 10!years ago you could say he has turned over a new leaf and changed but Stendel/Mrs B and Holocaust are all recent, let alone poor statements around us being a charity case and him being the new Messiah etc.
This will sound slightly contradictory but I do have some sympathy with Joey from a professional perspective, I am sure he didn’t want to fail. I also hate the current insidious/vicious social media culture and comments made to Joey personally, no one wins then.
One final observation, this could be Joeys last job in football and I think he knows it. He has nothing to lose by staying in and hoping he turns this around (and doesn’t get convicted).
Wouldn’t it be nice to wish Joey all the best and move on and let him get on with his life in peace…..
