In this week's episode, Neno is joined by Max and Caz to discuss another hapless home defeat, this time to local-ish rivals Swindon Town. Ben Garner's men showed Rovers what they could have had in another life with a dominant 3-1 victory at the memorial stadium. The gang go over their pros and cons for the game, and look at where it all went wrong - again! Max fortifies his "Barton out" stance, Neno is baffled by the lack of pace, and Caz thinks Wael is hesitant to pull the trigger again too early. With GasCast switching to a weekly format, we can bring you all the misery and apathy on a more regular basis. Thanks so much for tuning in, and up the Gas! listen.gascastpodcast.co.uk/276671/9316540-ben-schools-barton

Pro - Ben Garner - manager of Swindon - beating us. Righto. If it hastens Barton's departure then I'm all for it too. As was suggested on the pod - it may teach him some humility, or stop him from trying these mindgames press conferences

Another good episode guys.
Max is totally right about the square pegs in round holes, and not playing to our players' strengths. Seems Barton has a style in mind - in the loosest sense of the word, and is just playing the least worst options in those positions.

Totally agree with going to a back 4 - I know with the suspension and concussion of Kilgour and Taylor that makes it a bit harder but truly believe we would be better for it.
Finley has be deeper for me... he has the tackling/turning/passing/Short Dribbling required of the first receiver for me. Wasted in the number 10 role especially given we have a LOT of option for the number 10 role.
Also agree that with the way we are playing at the moment Pitmans role is not working and would prefer a hardworking Collins or Saunders instead. Long balls ok if into the channels

Not missed a match yet as I’m sure many on here haven’t also. Am not going to Colchester unless he’s gone. Am happy to lose the next two if it speeds the process up

We had lost by that point. So pro - maybe he learns something and changes. Thats entirely valid.

From my perspective losing to the second worst manager we’ve ever in such a lame way could never be a positive. I’m still angry about it now.
