Just read the last page of this thread. Not heard a mention that the boys (including Joey) got a a great point away.

Been away today, lost Internet connection with a few minutes to go. Assuming we lost the game I then saw two magpies (one for sorrow, two for joy) and thought "just maybe..."
Lo and behold, up pops an equaliser.
Not superstitious, honestly. 😉

Have just seen the goals. That was a seriously good header from Pitman. No luck and a great finish. Had that been on MOTD Shearer and Wright would have been drooling over it. He knew it was coming and got his body in the perfect position to put the ball into the one place the keeper couldn’t get it. Brilliant! Without thinking too much I’d say that’s one of the top 20/30 goals I’ve seen for us. It probably won’t be remembered but it was a typical striker goal. Well done Brett. UTG!

WTF? They are only commenting on the game as it is, we were absolutely crap for most of the game and Bradford were all over us! Plus Keith Brookman doesn't get paid for his commentary - expenses only. They are negative commentators. I dont care if he gets paid or not , i pay to listen. He might be a lovely chap but i would rather hear someone who knows about the game and points out the good things rovers do . Just my opinion but they do not highlight rovers good play or have an optimistic attitude.Especially the bbc staff who seem to revel when the opposition do anything. Rovers stood off bradford too much first half allowing them time to control and pass the ball without pressure. This made them appear better than they were.Even with all that time they couldnt make it count. Rovers upped their game second half and were by far yhe better team going forward.

Just read the last page of this thread. Not heard a mention that the boys (including Joey) got a a great point away. Still buzzing after today! Pitman’s goal was top class. He’s probably only touched the ball about 10 times in his Gas career but that includes two goals and two assists.

9/10 times that match is played Bradford spank us. Good point in the end but still awful. We were awful in the first half but there was a lot to like about how we imposed ourselves on the game after the break. If we can learn to do that earlier on in games, there’s reason to be optimistic, regardless of who is managing us come January! (as it seems pretty likely not to be Barton)

Gonna say a positive thing about JB. He seems to be getting a team spirit going. They are playing for each other and it seems to mean a lot to them. Maybe the biggest difference from last season?

16,664 at the game. A mystery to me how Bradford are so consistently mediocre. If a club could claim to be even more under-achieving than us, it's probably them. The difference is, they've actually been to the top flight division. We perennially under-achieve...

That was a decent point away. End of.
I said yesterday that I had a good feeling, and I predicted a draw so I'm happy with 2-2,we now seem to be getting some form so let's just get behind the lads. As the old song used to go (Twerton Era) Sing your Heart out for the Lads!

If this fixture was last season, we would have lost it easily. It felt like if we conceded the first goal, we would go on to lose.. This season, it's a testament to spirit and fitness, we've come from behind to claim point(s) and that's a huge swing around from where we were to where we are now. I honestly believe if there had been 15 more minutes yesterday, we would have won because the last 5 minutes it was all us attacking....

I will concede, one significant difference now compared to even 4-5 weeks ago is that we aren't completely capitulating after we concede. Even after Alfie scored, once they scored again immediately after I was convinced we'd get tanked, but we actually went up a gear and fought back. Still so, so much to work on - but mentally the players not only seem to be stronger than recent seasons, they're still improving week by week which is encouraging.
