Seems I am one of the (un) fortunate ones to have tickets to this game. It is a new ground for me and most others too. Does anyone have any suggestions about meeting for a pint, or other things to do for the weekend? Have a visit to Bettys Tea Rooms booked, which at this moment in time may well be the highlight of the weekend.
All sensible suggestions welcomed.

Get the early afternoon session and come out chilled and ready for whatever horrors 3 o'clock throws at you

Deli Bar Harrogate, 23 Regent Parade good place to start for Breakfast.
The Little Ale House for a couple (Although the Bar is only the size of a big living room so be prepared to queue). Loads of Bars around there from Cocktail, Weatherspoon's, Hotel Bars, Independent's and chains.
Stay at The Crowne Plaza, Ascot House Hotel, The Crowne, The West Park, (stayed in all of these and all good)and just loads and loads of others to choose from, there is one that is fantastic overlooking the town centre and parks just cant remember the name.
The Great Yorkshire Show Ground in Harrogate normally has something on during the half term, and there is an indoor centre that does a load of stuff for the kids.
Ripley Castle if you want a bit of Culture, RAF Menwith Hill if you want cold war Star Wars nuclear Golf Ball shaped Radar detectors all over the moors stuff, (Very surreal). Snowzone and Xscsape for the biggest real snow indoor downhill run in Europe if you want to break some bones (You need to do this on the way up or on the way back as is just outside of Wakefield WF10 4TA expensive but fun.) An hour up the road is Count Draculas grave at Whitby Abbey very spooky for this time of year, (Best Fish and Chips you will every have).
Or just a cream tea at Bettys, but there are a loads more just as good...............
Have fun, get a result and a great weekend UTG

We stayed in Harrogate a few seasons ago when we played and won at york,it really is a nice place to visit.
A big group of us went up for the weekend (wives included),the blokes went to the footie, the women went shopping and then to the tea room.
I remember they got a very good selection of pubs to take your pick from all with a good atmosphere but my favourite was the massive wetherspoons they have there,it is probably one of the biggest pubs i have ever been in.
York is only a short ride away as well and well worth a visit to see the famous 'shambles'.
