So home to Sutton, City at home on the Saturday v Derby so maybe another Sunday tie?
Should we beat Oxford of course

Just two home wins away from a potential money spinner in round 3, just a pity we never seem to win at home!

Not a good tie. Not too bad to get to, I suppose, but a small club in a very small stadium doing better than us, as so many are these days.
I would have said it's a potential banana skin, but that's probably insulting to Sutton.

I just get confused by who is non league these days. Everyone I expect to be is actually above us in league 2 😢

There will be plenty of supporters disappointed with the draw. Many would have been hoping for a decent draw against a good club in a good stadium, with history etc, but I guess Sutton will have to settle for Bristol Rovers.

Didn’t they already beat us in our recent history?

I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

Didn’t they already beat us in our recent history? A quick internet search indicates that it was a preseason friendly, 12 July 2015: Sutton 1 - Gas 2

Didn’t they already beat us in our recent history? The famous Sutton FA Cup game that springs to mind was when they knocked Coventry out in the 3rd round in 1989... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/30260439At the time; Coventry were in the top flight and Sutton were in the Conference. Big upset!

It will be nice to welcome back Donovan Wilson to the club, if not in second round FA cup, then on Boxing Day.
A player (for me) escaped the net as I'm sure he could be doing a decent job for us now.

I thought Wolves poached him, rather than Rovers releasing him? Then when he eventually signed for Sutton they were a NL side

I thought Wolves poached him, rather than Rovers releasing him? Then when he eventually signed for Sutton they were a NL side I didn't say we released him. I think Wolves came sniffing and who were we to stand in his way? ...but he went to Spain before returning to UK so there was opportunity to recall him back before he signed for non league Sutton.

Wolves bought him - no idea of the fee? He also went to Bath City I seem to recall. Looked like his career was going nowhere so lot of respect to him for getting back into the EFL.
