That is a big blow, I like Saunders. You're right, it is bizarre the amount of injuries we've had this season. You do wonder if it is just bad luck or something underlying. Probably the former, but it is strange.

Embarrassingly, I had completely forgotten about Rodders! 😳
It’s a real shame about Saunders. Wishing him, and all the others on the physio’s table, a speedy recovery. If that doesn’t transpire then fingers crossed that we can land a couple of quality extra bodies in the January window. Hopefully we can show a bit of form until then which must improve our chances of persuading any new recruits (subject to all the JB shenanigans).

Leaving us with who to play as striker for the next few weeks/months?
Collins only?
I rate Nicholson but he’s best deployed wide in a front 3
Same with Thomas and Evans
Plenty of tricky forward thinking players, but will our downfall this season be once again not having a true no 9??
UTG

UTG I don't know too much about him or whether he's ready but isn't Hulbert more of a no.9 ? He seems to have done well out on loan so I'm a bit surprised he hasn't been recalled. Others may know better than me but would have thought he'd be a bit further along in his development than Langlais who seems to be our only fit back up striker at the moment

We are now back in the zone where we had so many injuries like the seasons prior to our relegation out the league.
A whole team on the sick at Xmas.
Something about this just doesn't ring true.
I know luck is meant to even itself out, but it feels like every time there's an outing there's another long term injury.

UTG Pitman's only apparently got a minor groin strain, if so, hopefully he'll be back this month.

Pretty sure I've read comments like 'never known a season like it for injuries' and 'what are our physio team actually doing?' every other season.

Perfect chance to find out though, especially playing alongside better players in front of bigger crowds. Many players in football have burst onto the scene due to chances arising from injuries.

I actually keep forgetting we even have Saunders. Good player at this level. Hopefully he catches a break soon...pun not intended!

Maybe a broken hand won't keep him out for long?
Plaster off after a week, then somekind of acceptable to referees protective bandage when playing?
