Fitness doubts around Matty Taylor now coming to light for the FA cup match! founded or another bottle job! Shame really. Don't get me wrong its hard to stomach what he did and the way certain individuals went about it but its all got out of hand! But i'm not complaining he's looking doubtful for the cup match with a niggly G string!

I Agree! would be great to turn them over and smash Sutton in the next round and fingers crossed to a well deserved away fixture against a big club!

Surely much sweeter to beat Oxford with him in the team than not?

No way is he faking an injury. Does anyone seriously think he's afraid of a few nasty words from the terraces?
He obviously stopped worrying about that kind of thing when he signed his 'X' in the place Mr Lansdown told him to. If you do believe he's scared then you might have an inflated view of our importance.

I don’t think he’s scared exactly , but equally I don’t think he handles the pressure well at all , I for one will be disappointed if he’s not playing , I have no problem whatsoever letting the little sh** know exactly how I feel about him ! 😁Utg💙

He's a pro footballer earning a living, if he wanted to secure a better future for his family by signing a far better paid deal with City, then that's his right just like any of us earning a living. He has spoken highly of the majority of our fanbase since leaving. If he's not there due to "injury" then he's injured. Any Gashead wanting some sort of point scoring retribution by thinking Matty Taylor has somehow been scared off from playing at the Mem is deluded. He served us well at a time we needed it, as did the rest of that squad. Nothing lasts for ever, players come and go. I thank them all for their contribution. We move on. It's time to focus on the latest batch of incumbents somehow reaching the status that squad achieved.

Great goalscorer for us his goals ensured a short stay in Conference and promotion to league one.
Would love him leading our line again.
Doubt we could afford him.

Can imagine the prospect of 4-5,000 gasheads shouting w**ker and singing Irene over and over again has him absolutely sh**ting his pants

Did you forget all the circumstances regarding his sale? The context of it? The release fee? The fact it was deliberately left as late as possible in the window to prevent us signing a replacement - purely to get one over on us on behalf of his new employer? Yes, he’s a footballer earning a living. He was a footballer who could have comfortably got a deal probably at plenty of other clubs, and he chose to totally betray everyone who had helped him in his journey, from DC who plucked him out of forest green reserves to the fans who stuck with him despite not scoring for about 12 games. Then, after all that he openly mocks us and tries to wind our fans up, Yes, commercial decision. Defrauding pensioners is a commercial decision - those fraudsters have families to feed too. Hell, Judas had mouths to feed when he picked up those pieces of silver. It’s only football at the end of the day, it’s a game, but Taylor knew full well what he was doing, and chose the money. It wasn’t his one chance, he had years of decent contracts ahead but he chose the one thing which would completely screw all his team mates and supporters - all the little kids who got Taylor shirts and idolised him. He had a right to play for whoever he liked but we have a right to dislike him, and I fully intend to exercise that right. After all, we paid his wages for about 4 years

After all, we paid his wages for about 4 years I agree with you but the bid from city came through on the Saturday 4 days before the window ended. DC doesn’t view it a betrayal, they and some other members of the squad were out having a meal just two days ago. 100% we should all hate him but I don’t think any of the players or staff from that time feel any anger at him or that they were betrayed. The only people, and rightly so, who hold it against him are the fans.

He’s a traitor, a turncoat and beyond redemption.

He must have been so surprised at the bid - amazing Jedi mind tricks by the city board. Perhaps they should start guessing the weight of the cake in the raffle because they seem to be great at estimating unknown information, The great thing about all of this at the end of the day is that he didn’t make anything of himself and probably would have been better off staying, or waiting till the end of the season for a club who actually wanted to play him, rather than using him as a ceremonial way to poke us in the eye and then put him on the bench.

No thanks, don't put him in the great category, nothing before he came to us, his Rovers team mates made loads of chances for him, some he put away , plenty more he didn't, some unbelievable misses including in the Daggers game, thankfully Browner on hand to save his embarrassment, not in the same finisher class as Richard Walker and a few others.

You’re mad if you think agents don’t talk to clubs all The time mate. How does everyone know Haaland’s release clause at Dortmund? 🤷🏻♂️ Listen I’m not making excuses for him, he’s a snake but the fact is he won’t be faking an injury to get out of playing at the Mem.

He won’t be personally faking it. His boss might have decided to rest him anyway, doesn’t care about the cup much and may have been like “I’m sure you wouldn’t mind not having to go through that” Footballers are human beings too and while I agree if they match was important then it wouldn’t make a difference but to have an entire stadium at your neck for 90 mins can’t be much fun.
