I understand that part of Bristol UWE land is up for sale and wondered if this has anything to do with the recent finance movements ??
Anybody got any info ??

The problem is we don't know how much was raised in the refinancing.
GD was owed just under £800k as at June 2013, so they have obviously paid him off, though of course he still retains his 15% shareholding. Doubt we'd borrow for anything else unless Sainsburys have already agreed to pay up. We couldn't risk it. Could we?

What are you thinking... training ground? It may well be something to do with the development around the new stadium ? If so is that not a good sign that UWE are still confident that it is still going ahead ?

It could be anything couldn't it. They've got loads of land , some of it they sell some if it they build on and some of it they hold on to. It could be for a training ground for us or it might not have anything to do with us. I can appreciate that we're desperate for the UWE or a load of compensation but there's some serious clutching at straws going on lately.

A Museum dedicated to the Beard. I was thinking more along the lines of a 500ft statue of him, towering above north Bristol for the rest of eternity.

Interesting, just read this in The Times:
Hilton International are eyeing up land made available near The University of West of England Campus near Bristol. Sources close to Hilton are adamant that the group are looking to tap into the lucrative plastic fan market when Bristol Rovers Football Club achieve their long term aim of both Premiership and Champions League Football. We had one of our top reporters investigate the club known affectionately as "The Gas" and a director there revealed it is not a case of if but when Rovers reach the summit of European Football. Hilton's five star luxury resort hotels would of course be therefore well placed ahead of the competition for both football visitors and concert goers. Yet one Hilton major shareholder was quoted as saying "it represented a huge gamble".

That pic reminds me walking to Rovers, at Eastville days from muller road.
I use to get my "fashionable, once" upon a time... Desert suede boots soaked. Lol.
