Having moved to a village not far from Forest Green and frequenting a couple of games - they were allowed a couple during lockdown - here is a rough guide. Get there early, street parking in the crescent opposite but limited. Also limited parking at local school - £5 card payment - or a park and ride from Renishaws in the town centre If you are parked at the top end the best route of escape is west along a country lane which will pretty much be one way and then a choice of options depending where you live. Do not go down into Nailsworth you'll be a while. Nearest pub is The George. Downhill, right into Burma Road, fork right into Seven acres road then look for steep steps on left that go straight to back of pub. 3/4 mile. Alternatively pubs and cafes in Nailsworth if you so choose. 1 mile downhill, enjoy the walk back. Not 100% if ground facilities are different for this game. Normally a beer tent and vegan Indian dishes outside the ground. Inside - IMO the Q pies are decent, chips and curry sauce a no brainer. Veggie burgers at last test, not great. Black coffee all round, yep substitute milk. 1200 fans going through 2 turnstiles, better move along when in. A couple of our neighbouring teams supporters have had issues and been given little comfort in replies from tweets to the club, treat us like cattle Mr Vince you are funny. As for the weather forecast, game could be at risk

Thanks for that. Last time I went there was street parking near the top of the hill but will take your advice and get there early. Heard about the turnstile and access problems too so another reason to set off in good time. Fingers crossed for the weather as on the uncovered terrace!

You'd think pubs especially would be keen to maximise their profits after the last 18 months+ just put security on the door and treat people like customers not potential vikings! I really wonder if some people should be in business unless of course its on police advice.

A tiny village football club who won’t be able to cope if they ever get into league 1.

Based on only one visit in the Conference, Parking at Renishaws and getting the bus up was pretty easy, if that is still on offer.
My advice would be to eat before the game as we had to queue for 3/4 hour to get served an inedible veggie burger. They may be better now as they've had a bit more experience of away followings, but they couldn't cope back then.

Not sure why it would even 'kick off' in Nailsworth pubs. Always found the more welcoming 'village' pubs are the less likelihood of trouble. Would also mean the parking would be spread out a bit. Locals have had enough with the parking. Probably from when it wasn't managed for a friendly game. Being against Leeds it was a bigger gate then the competitive games. Mayhem. They've got permission for a stadium by the M5, planning consent seemed very straightforward. FGR "Can we build a stadium and eco business park in a field by the M5" Council "Footprint too large and 1 - yes 1 - of the locals complained about proximity" (I believe it was a care home of some sort) FGR "Can we scrap the business park and use the field the opposite side of the main road, away from residents/businesses" Council "Yeah alright then"

Maybe there should be a voting system for who is allowed to join the football league whereby the bigger established clubs could protect their own interests. Just a suggestion. 😉

Parking
Unfortunately, there are no public parking spaces available at the stadium. Limited parking is available at the stadium for disabled supporters, which must be booked in advance by contacting the club.
All general supporters can use the adjacent school car park for £5 (card only). This fills up very quickly, so unless you arrive early, we suggest you use the park and ride service.
Park and Ride
This is the most simple way of travelling to the stadium on matchday. There is no parking available on site - and we strongly suggest supporters do not drive towards the stadium.
Coaches will be departing Renishaw's in Woodchester every 15-20 minutes from 12.30pm, and dropping off passengers at The Fully Charged New Lawn.
The shuttle services for the return journey will be available to board following the full-time whistle, and continue as required until 5.45pm at the latest.
All profits from the service will be donated to the Nailsworth Primary School, with the cost at £3 per car, cashless payment only.

Any good pubs nearby that actually want to take my money in exchange for booze?

Just a suggestion. 😉 That was a hoot until the mid-1980s, when the clubs voted to promote the top Northern and Southern league sides, or retain the clubs bottom of the 4th Division. Unsurprisingly, they almost always kept their mates in the 4th division. I seem to remember Hartlepool or Workington finishing bottom every year.

Newport used to make sure visiting chairmen had a great night and hence always voted them to stay in the league
